Roe vs Wade Overturned

Its not a hypothetical. Clarence wants to ban contraception and same sex marriage. America took a step backwards today, and its sad.

You should acknowledge that Thomas does not want to ban those things and that he also does not have the power to do so.

If anything we took a step towards being in line with the rest of the developed world who limit abortions around 12-16 weeks

Thanks, I misremembered the part about having to see a doctor to get morning after with the abortion pill.

I was under the impression there was only one available and it was the morning after. Never heard of the abortion pill prior to today.

Have you ever considered that maybe we need to go backwards, just a little?

The issues raised in your quote aside, we can’t keep going down the path we are on. I have a fu******* pregnant man emoji on my phone now. Because people believe men can get pregnant.

We give each other a hard time around here but seriously dude, maybe a few steps back isn’t so bad after all.

Do u know what a trigger state is ? Because roe vs wade is preventing Abortion bans in most southern states . Now that’s gone

I do. Thanks for asking. Once again, the Supreme Court did not ban abortion. Is there a particular state law you’d like to discuss?

Tennessee is one of the most republican states in America . I vote all of the time but it’s a waste of time .Your vote only matters in 1/4 of the country unfortunately and I don’t see that changing anytime soon

Your vote on the state level matters far more than the national level which is another reason why this ruling is a good thing

Yes . Because I’m old and experienced enough to know what happens when one political party that is out of control , controls all of government . This ( as I’ve said to luther many times ) is just the pendulum swinging back from where it was pulled to . The higher you pull it , the harder it swings back .
Youre not the first person ive seen say this, and for some reason it usually rings true. Somehow things usually end up in the middle when it starts to swing too far.
But its the old Divided a group is easier to conquer than when theyre United.

The ruling was the correct one. The constitution doesn’t protect abortion. I agree with you in that I’m not my brothers keeper so I’m not going to tell them they can’t have an abortion. That’s now up to the state to decide. Ya democracy! If people believe that it should be a federal issue then there’s a way to amend the constitution and that should be their only recourse. If they can’t meet that threshold then try harder. Again, Ya Democracy.
The Constitution doesn't explicitly protect a whole lot of things. SCOTUS basically said you have no right to privacy today, and that is going to result in some far, far reaching implications I don't think every one has quite realized yet.

Ruby red states are about to enact some of the most draconian laws restricting all sorts of rights, and the Feds have basically said, "oh well, sucks for you."

My question is if we divide the country state by state like what it seems that u would prefer then how would u still call use The United States

Age brings wisdom...not some superficial wisdom requires wisdom BS,,

This pusssy parade is about to see what inflation looks like and how it affects livelihood. Denigrate the boomers and play some blame game..

You young MFers better get off your ass and go to work as when we are gone..your game time is over.

Nope unfortunately. We need to come together to fix this instead of constantly fighting with each other .
That would require both sides being willing to compromise. That means that you can't get everything you want. That means give and take.

That ain't happening soon.

My question is why are u conservatives not worried that Liberals will make those state even more liberal since the right to privacy has been broken
