Rodney Garner thread (merged)

No offense to Garner, but I wouldn't think someone of his stature would warrant being mentioned on the ESPN ticker, no matter what his decision is.

You are probably right, but I wish there was a number tracker for the flightaware site because there are plenty of UGA and UT fans tracking that plane right now. That is probably a bigger story than Garner.

Default Garner On The Record
We just spoke to Garner at 5:40 and he didn't say "No comment." The conversation is in the premium board.

I also have been told that this is not a ploy for more money and that he wouldn't have taken his wife with him to Knoxville if he wasn't dead serious about considering this.

--
I'm hearing that the final decision will probably be his wife's. If she wants to stay, they will stay. I do know she likes living near metro Atlanta.

Keep this in mind. Odds are even if he accepts the job he probably won't go on the plane back to Tennessee tonight. That would probably happen either tomorrow or later in the week.

So just because he's not on the plane doesn't mean he hasn't taken the job. Keep in mind I'm saying this at 5:11 before we know anything yet.

There had to be someone on the freakin' plane on the trip down. Sounds like nobody any UGA people would recognize.(Lane, Hamilton...)Sounds like something to do with the contract.

Hey Rodney....can you come to the airport so we can try to sell you on what we're bringing to UT again? That doesn't fit, does it? Mrs. Garner leaving her purse is more believable.

Like a 5 yr old at Xmas in front of the tree, we got a bunch of grown ass men with fingers crossed, eyes glued to their monitors and salivating on what news we may hear next. It's an exciting time for Vols. It won't be long now.

LOL thanks for the reality check. But it is definitely exciting watching these grown men cross their fingers and salivate. No matter what happens with Garner and I think he is coming we are in for a few more suprises this year which means more finger crossing, salivating and heart attacks.

I heard from a reliable source they sent Smokey down to stud service ugas moma.....:pepper:

Shoot. Just got home from being out all day and was hoping something had been confirmed.

Plane didnt just sit on the ground for three hours-----the person or people on it went to visit with Rodney, and then returned.
