I loved on the Lane Kiffin TV show how he described Rod Wilks as a Charles Woodsen dual threat. Could that have been an acknowledgement to the VN?

Mics captured Lane talking to Wilks during fall camp. He said something to the effect that, "People keep asking me if we're gonna use Berry on offense. I tell them no. We have Rod Wilks."

Kiffin is very familiar with the Wilks legend here on VN.

You think you can catch ROD WILKS? You think a guy like that comes this close to getting caught, and sticks his head out? If he comes up for anything it'll be to get rid of me. After that... my guess is you'll never hear from him again.

I know I overshot RW just a bit but I must admit I've probably laughed at his threads more than just about anyone. It's pretty hilarious.
