As negative as I've been today I will say I'm glad to be 3-0. ND, Oklahoma (most likely), Ole Miss, Auburn, and Miss St all have 2 losses.

We're undefeated. We're 3-0 for the first time since 2004. Y'all need to chill out

Yea that's nice. And really all that matters at this point. At the same time how you could think this team beats anybody actually good is questionable. I have seen nothing that doesn't make me think we lose 3 of the next 4.

True. But a lot of teams could lose 3 out of our next 4 . We will definitely see what kind of heart this team has.

i will say this, no one in the SEC East looks good. GA has issues up the middle of their offense, still ove Mckenzie and GOdwin outside, and they're fast tracking Eason's learning curve. he looks like he's gonna be really good. and all the sudden you 're wondering where Chubb is?

to me, TN and GA look like mirror images of one another, kind of.

FL has as many issues offensively as we do, if not a couple more. the advantage they have right now is they're playing the best defense of anyone right now.

the East is a mess, and i sure would hate to get the end and realize we couldn't win it.

Yeah. The only truly good team in the SEC right now is Alabama, period.

They have played UMass, Kentucky, and North Texas State...not exactly powerhouse offenses. Having said that, apparently we do not have a powerhouse offense either. Why remains a mystery. The only logical explanation is our OC.

yeah, and not to take anything away from them, but in the 1st half today they looked awfully "human".

then they put on the superhero cape in the 2nd half.

i don't know why we have as many issues as we do. the qb has not gotten any better as a passer. the O line has been worse than last year, and while i do think Malone is a different guy now, he's been great, and Jennings has flashed, there's not much to be afraid of from the WR corp.

the run game has been inconsistent.

lt's a myriad of issues, and likely it's on the coaches...and the players. there's little excuse for anyone on team 120 to play the way they have so far on offenses.

as for FL, they haven't played anyone, no. but their defense has played those teams LIKE they're nobodies.

Malone has been great - the problem is that there is a concerted effort to get him the ball only about 3 or 4 times a game. He has 4 TD receptions on just 9 catches.

In the passing game, it's like DeBord and his staff don't play match-up based, read and react-type offensive football. Regardless of the down and distance, they love to run Hurd off tackle, only put Kamara in the game to throw a swing pass to him, and pass mostly in obvious passing situations by using our best receiver as a blocker to set up a screen.

They very rarely take shots down the field in advantageous matchups, don't throw slants over the middle, don't use the TEs, and Dobbs has been doing a terrible job lately of reading the DE on the read option.

Football, more than it has ever been, is a game of matchups. We don't seem to make concerted efforts to exploit them.

well stated. i kept trying to put my finger on it, and this basically is how i feel about it.

and what it goes back to is there's zero identity. i feel like every series is an experiment.

I wouldn't say they're the only good team. I would, however, say they are the most consistent.

Ole Miss is good. They had Bama on the ropes and just got outplayed. I dont think anyone else in the west will beat them. Arky is not bad. TAMU is a sleeper. Bama is cleary the cream of the crop though.

Let me know when we beat a good team.

i don't have an issue with the competition we've faced. today not withstanding, App state is a good football program. Ohio is a good football program and VT is a good football program.

you'll not hear me say these are national title contenders, nor will you hear me say that they'd "compete in the SEC", but in 1 game situations, they're competitive.

should all three of these games been what they were? uh, no. the problem is all three followed the same m.o.....which at the end of the day, says more about us, than the competition. which is all that matters.

you can acknowledge that the 3 teams we've played are "good", and at the same time, acknowledge that they shouldn't have been able to hang.

our issues so far this season, for me anyway, have much less to do with the who we've played, as it does "HOW" we've played.
