Lofton and future UT forward Tyler Smith went first and second, respectively, in the draft for the summer league June 18-July 16 at Bearden High School.

I'm seeing Crews and Chism in a corner saying..."Hey what about us!"...

Other first-round picks, in order chosen after Lofton and Smith: Ron Slay, former UT post; Wayne Chism, current UT post; Ramar Smith, current UT point guard; and Duke Crews, current UT post.
The second-round picks, in order: Ryan Childress, current UT forward/post; Courtney Pigram, ETSU guard and the Atlantic Sun Conference player of the year; JaJuan Smith, current UT guard; Vincent Yarbrough, former UT wing; J.P. Prince, current UT forward and Arizona transfer; and Bradshaw. Veteran NBA player Jalen Rose was chosen in the third round by Kingston Alley coach Chad Smith.

The draft order really is interesting...

The first three rounds lasted about 30 seconds.

They need to share some drafting secrets with the NFL.

Other notable players in the league include Tony White Jr., Jon Higgins, Stanley Asumnu, Logan Johnson, and Rashard Lee.

Should be good stuff. Remember TW Jr has the home court advantage at Bearden :p

How in the world did they get Jalen Rose to come down? That's crazy. I would like to hear more on that. Maybe he knows Pearl?

Article said he was friends with Tony Jones and that he'd probably only make it for a couple games, which is why he was drafted that low.

If Tyler Smith was drafted second, he must be tearing it up in practcie (they are practicing aren't they?). Either way, it speaks volumes about how good they think he is.

Didn't Tony Jones coach him in high school? I seem to remember that from somewhere. In any case, it said he may only play a couple of games ... so that could hurt their chances.

Here's my predicted order of finish (i.e., pre-season rankings) :victory: :

1. KNS (solid all around)
2. Kingston Alley (higher if Rose shows up more than twice)
3. First Tennessee (brought down by Jordy at No. 3)
4. HT Group (where are the guards?)
5. SunTrust (too small)
6. Toyota (Lofton = Lebron ... not enough)

It'll be cool to see some of these games :)
