These gritty Preds have converted me into a diehard hockey fan this year. I still have no idea what icing is but I love it when it's called on the other teams!

Now if I could only get into the Grizzlies...

My sons started playing hockey early in life down here in Huntsville. Both played from termites (basically 1st grade) through high school. I didn't know icing either back then. I have grown to love the sport. It's fast - line changes in real time (what other sport does that?).

Pretty much understand offsides and icing (youtube it, it'll take 5 minutes), and the fact that you are a man short when someone is in the penalty box (and you can ice it then to kill off penalty time).

Them playing Rocky Top sent a chill down both of my arms. I told my son - that is pure UT there. I love it that there has to be Vandy people in the arena singing it!

Icing is when a team in behind their zone blue line and hits the puck past the goal blue line.

Griz are fun to watch. They are a pretty solid team that plays the old 80-90 style of ball. They are only lacking a 3 point shooter to be a championship contending team, but the are on annual playoff team
