That is what I've heard from many people. You'd think they would move to a nicer and larger gym with so many fans always there, but idk if any other Knoxville high school gyms are any nicer.

On a side note, get a new announcer! :p

It does look as if it has the hot, sweaty "summer league" atmosphere. I've played in some hotttt gyms in past summers.

its really an excuse for the guys to get to play some pickup games..They get people like Dane Bradshaw and Ron Slay and other players to fill out the teams. You can only have 2 or 3 actual UT players on a team..and it also gives the fans an opportunity to see the players, area players and former players.

no..its either UT players, former players, area players or people that have a connection to UT. Like the Mueller guy, i think he is a professor at UT now. Also, Terrance Oglivy plays, he is the only player from another major program, that being Clemson.

I watched all three games and my impressions were

1. Brian Williams = Definitely the most improved player. He played a good inside game and seems to have really stepped up his moves to the basket. Chism may have some competition for minutes.

2. tyler Smith = a beast. no other way to put it. SEC player of the year.

3. Bobby Maze = The point guard we have been missing. Good moves, great ball handling, good shot, but the most impressive defense. Did anyone else see him guarding Josh Tabb on the perimiter? He was great.

4. Scotty Hopson = Good wide open dunker. If attitude can win a game we are National champions. I am afraid Pearl has his hands full with this kid.

5. Jurick = Came off a little lazy last night. Yeah it was hot, yeah it was for fun, but he gave off the impression he did not want to be there.

6. Daniel West = I don't want to say anything negative about West. I will say I hope he was having an off night. Nothing impressive.

7. woolridge = Didn't make it maybe Wednesday.

8. Tatum = got hot hit several 3's. Definitely a scorer.

Basically we are loaded. It will be interesting to see the starting line up come November. As of now I would have to say
Smith
Williams/ Chism
Tatum
Maze
Prince
All american or not, the best thing for Hopson is to earn his starting spot. Hopefully we didnt promise him a starting position if he would sign.

playing bball during the summer in that gym is pretty much miserable (and has been for years) but it does get you in shape. We did it every year in HS but it was still fun

Hopson and Tatum Have UPS!
Hopson had that two handed windmill off two feet.. Thats so hard to do..
And Tatum pulled a Lebron Type dunk when he drove down the land, jumped from like ten feet away from the rim, cocked it back way behind his head, then seemed to soar to the rim!
this next years UT team is going to be way more athletic than last years.. Especially with Hopson, Tatum, and Maze..
And from what i hear, Wooldridge is hella athletic also!
