Robert Weiner

Watching my old HS (Plant in Tampa FL) play football on ESPN U right now. The announcer mentioned their coach, Robert Weiner, had an offer from Ohio University to coach, but was receiving interest from other programs, including Tennessee.

What are your thoughts on Coach Weiner joining the staff?

I don't know a whole lot about him, other than he turned around a program that won 4-5 games the entire 4 years I was there (1997-2001) and has won 3 of the last 4 state championships. I believe he has only been coaching there for 5-6 years...maybe a bit longer. It would certainly give us a stronger recruiting tie into FL as well...
