But hey...if a chicken was a turkey and peanut butter tasted like seaweed then Monday might actually be Thursday and the Dolphins might win the Super Bowl :crazy:

i thought about him last night when i was watching that game. i sure wish we would've had him, but thats just the selfish orange comin out. i really think he made the best decision for him and his family. that colston kid in front of him is a pretty good leader for him to latch onto. his story is pretty cool; long shot, hard worker, now a go to guy.

One injury in college. One injury in the NFL. His injury in the NFL was minor and had he could have played in every game this season.

So it was a minor injury? He just isn't good enough to get on the field. Well that makes things much better. The Saints are just reaping the law of averages for getting so much out of a low pick in Colston, I guess.

He has been a MAJOR disappointment. Hasn't been a difference maker and for the money, you could say he is a bigger bust than Meachem

You need to find a MUCH better website for NFL information. Meachem is 6th on the Saints wide receiver depth chart, not 3rd. In fact, he was inactive in their game against the Falcons while the other five wide receivers in front of him on the depth chart were all active.

He's not ready yet. As I said, the Saints have a lot of experienced receivers. They aren't in a rush to get him on the field.

Not much has been said of Meachem good or bad in the New Orleans press, but the word seems to be that he just hasn't gotten a handle on the Saints offense and isn't ready. It has nothing to do with his injury. The Saints are pretty deep at WR right now, so it's not an emergency, but the Saints do lead the league in dropped passes, so if he can catch the freaking ball, it would be nice to get him on the field (I'm looking at you, Devry Henderson). Running back is a whole different story. I swear, we are going to finish just bad enough to miss the playoffs and just good enough not to get McFadden in the draft.

It's only the team's officical site. You can get to all the official NFL sites through ww.nfl.com.


What site do you prefer? I haven't found the one that lists Meach as 6th yet, but I can't find one that doesn't recognize that an offense has more than one WR position. Let me try NebraskaCornhuskers.com.

Earlier in the year a reporter asked Drew Brees about Meachem and his reply was a sarcastic "who?". Meaning that Meach had not done anything to impress and had a long way to go. Sad, but let's hope he makes it.

I'd remind Brees how many of his first years were spent as an embarrasment to the QB position.

He didn't have a ton of receiving yards,but I wouldn't call 550 yds receiving a bust.
