Saints play the Falcons tonight, and I noticed he's listed third on the Saints depth chart.

I totally understand why he went to the NFL, but what a waste of an extraordinary playermaker this season.

Has any UT team ever missed one player at one position more than the 2007 Vols missed Meachem?

All I know is that if he plays tonight, Chris Houston's going to manhandle him just like he did in Fayetteville in 2006!

He's just going to turn into another Kelly Washington. Joe Horn leaving NO is the worst thing that happened to Meacham. Every good receiver has to learn from seasoned vets. Even Jerry Rice had to learn something from Dwight Clark. The talent was never an issue... the same with Washington.

Kelley has the vets around him now. Do you think that will help?

Best decision Meachem ever made was going pro early. He is injury prone and probably would not have had a better senior year. I say the Saints will never see much from him.

If he's third on the depth chart I think he'll do something for them. The Saints have a lot of WRs on their roster that have contributed the past few years. I wouldn't expect Meachem to beat any of them out in his first season. He's probably one of the most athletic wideouts they have. They'll find a way to get him on the field next year.

I'm going to say this team misses dlinemen more than anyone at any position any time.

Where did you see he is third on the Depth Chart? He hasn't caught a pass all year.

Being 20 lbs overweight and not knowing the playbook are the main reasons.

He did have a minor knee injury.

But 2 injuries in 4 years make him injury prone?

Being overweight and not knowing the playbook just increases my skepticism of any contribution he will make to the Saints.

Being injured in 50% of 4 seasons starts leaning towrds injury prone. It is a small sample size, but it leans to me.

Saying he is third on the depth chart sounds like you are trying to say he's their 3rd option at receiver. He is not. He is 6th at best. Maybe worse.

Meach will be fine once he gets used to the NFL a little bit more and learns the playbook.

No, that was not what I said.

Saying he is 3rd on the depth chart is implying he is their third WR. That is what you said. It might not be what you meant but it is what you said.

Okay, if I said a LG was third on a depth chart would that also mean he is the third best offensive linemen or would that imply that he is the third best linemen (offense or defense) on the team or would I be implying that he is a Hall of Famer to be?

What exactly is your point other than you misinterpreted mine?
