Okay, so the title is a little bit out there. This thread is to recognize what a force Meachem has been this season.

Specifically, I would like to bring up the face that he has a moster stiff arm. I acutally don't even know if you would call it that. It may deserve a name for like the throw down. You all know what I'm talking about. When Meachem catches the ball, he always throws one or two tacklers off of him before he's pushed out of bounds. He's hardly ever actually tackled. A few times, he's thrown the defender completely out of bounds. He's a beast who tells the little DBs to "get off me."

It's sort of a wrestling lariat meets the Michael Jordan push off move.

I love watching him play, he really is a big target and very strong to boot. I have a feeling that after the last 2 years we will see a few more guys stay the extra year.

He definetly has big time talent and would do good in the NFL but think about something... He has under acheived every year except this year. If he had had 3 good years then going pro early wouldnt be a bad idea. I would think he would want to take one more year to fully prove to the scouts that he has what it takes to make it in the pros. Im not trying to cut on the guy in any way becasue I think hes an awesome wide out. But i would think he has a better chance of going in an earlier round if he waits until next year. But im no scout by any means

His stock certainly has risen this year. Would love to see him back in Orange. We would have another year of folks not knowing which receiver to double or cover first.

If he continues to have a monster year it would be in his best interest to go. Next year he won't have two seniors out there taking some heat off of him, but as good as he is it might not matter. I thought it was comical when I was watching the GA replay on CSS; the guys in the booth were saying "they know that Tenn. is going to Meachem, why don't they cover him better." I'm sure the GA coaches had already thought of that, but a player like Meachem is almost impossible to cover at the college level.

I've been waiting for Meachem to have this kind of season since he arrived. I guess that it all depends on the coaching and the QB. I can still remember reading about him when he signed on at UT, his stats from high school, and thinking to myself "he'll be a good one".

I'm not counting on Meach to return next year- but that would be awesome if he did.

He's gonna be urged to "strike while the iron is hot". And I think he'll do so. =\

I would not say that Meachem has made it to "legend" status. It is really early for that.

He is having an excellent year but there is a lot of time left.

I've heard from people that are close to the situation and have talked to the family that he is going pro. I think there is a 90% chance he goes to the NFL. There was talk at the beginning of the year last year that he was going to declare. First of all to the guy who said he needs a 3 year resume or whatever that's not true at all. Even if he did he has lead us in recieving every year he has been here. But anyway the NFL hardly ever drafts off production these days it's more about potential and how you translate to the pros. Broderick Bunkley I don't think had ever even started at Florida State then his senior year he tears up the ACC, has a sick combine and he is a first round pick. Couple things to think about with Meach:
1.He would be a fifth year senior next year.
2.He is going to have one of the better combines for WRs (6'3 210 sub 4.4 40) regardless who comes out.
3.He has seen the last two years a teammate turn down the NFL and return for their senior season only to be injured for the year.

I wouldn't say he's a legend either. As I said in the first post, the title is a little over-the-top.
