This may actually work out well for this coaching staff and future QB recruiting as there are only 2 elite QBs left in the 2010 class. But the QB field for 2011 is a lot deeper.

This move allows Marve to learn the system and he will be ready to step in next season. This also allows the coaches to lay the ground work and get in early on the top 2011 QBs that they want.

Always throwing in little boastful nuggets of the lobster he had while wining and dining his Memphis area coaches, or how big his kitchen is...one of his servants this or offering a weekend at one of his condos.
Seriously, Roy...who gives a flying flip? All that's going to get you is robbed by some thug at some point if you don't tone it down. Haven't you learned in all your years that people bragging about themselves...overtly or subltely...has a stinch to it?

I guess it's like the bathroom...when your the one stinking it up, it doesn't smell so bad...but walk into one after someone else has and the stink knocks you to the floor.

I hope this works out because even if Tennessee gets a top 5 star QB this recruiting season. I don't think anyone in there right mind would want to go into next or any season in the SEC with a true freshmen quarterback even if he is a 5-star prospect.

I dont like this. The will hurt us the next 2 years in recruiting a QB. Now if Cam Newton comes too, you might as well forget about a QB. ESPN is about to say something on cam now

We spoke with his dad today and he said Robert had not made up his mind but planned to do so before June term. We believe Tn is in good shape but nothing is officially done.

Just throwing in another viewpoint…..USC, bama & uga have no problem with loading up in the QB dept…..they are stacked!

Shouldn't scare anyone off. Marve or Newton would only have 2 yrs. You have to remember, the depth chart at most every major program is at least 3-4 deep. There's ALWAYS a lot of competition

Yes. The regular rule of if you transfer to another D1 school, you have to sit out a year. So He and Newton will be playing the same year.

Robert Marve is more talented than Jake Heaps, and probably Jesse Scroggins as well. Mental makeup is the only issue with Marve. On and off the field. He is a real talent though. Make no mistake about it, he can make ALL the throws and would be the most athletic QB we have aquired since Schaeffer. Here is a little bit of video of him Vs. A&M, its not just him, but you can see him kae some nice throws.

Who gives a S***? What's he going to do? he's never banned anyone for it. Even if he did, you could just keep on reading war rooms and repeating the news.

As a Miami fan too I watched all his games and he is ok, an upgrade over what we have though. The starter for Miami is better so that's the real reason he is gone. I know he was FL mr football. In 07 and the Miami starter now was in 08. I will say unlike crompton he does not look scared on the field and is a firey leader and that we need. But we still need a 5star pro style guy.

Ill be honest. In 07 Mavre was one of the qbs I was most impressed with coming out of HS. Just from watching his tapes. I am excited about this if it is true.
