Robert Hubbs

DC defense and rebounding killing them, SW has to be shooting 75%, too good of looks. High school ball isn't meant to be in the 100s

Thought that was goaltending on that lay-up. Think DC should be glad they aren't down 20+ right now.

Hubbs had a rough day, just too much talent on Southwind and Hubbs is the only guy on DC, he was the focus all day.

SW wins by 20+, Hubbs ended with 12 points.

One chapter ends and a new one begins. I hope that Hubbs helps lead UT to some big time tourney games like he did at DC.

Curious, have you seen him play often?
Who would you rate the best player in the state?

I would say Jajuan Johnson, and it has nothing to do with today's game. He seems to have a better all-around game than majority of the players instate, Marquette is getting a great player in Johnson.

I've had the chance to see Hubbs play several AAU games which were nothing more than exhibition games being that they lacked defense. I agree with the Dwade comparisons to an extent. Some you guys feel that Hubbs has a better jumper than Dwade which i disagree with, It's a lot easier for a 6'5 high school kid to get better shots than a 6'5 college player or pro. Also defensively he's nowhere near Wade was in high school, Wade averaged 27ppg, 11rpg, and set a record for steals in his senior season.

What is getting lost here is that for a majority of most games he played the high post and was asked to defend the post on the other team. When asked he is a terrific on ball defender. His future is as a 2-3 in college. What he was asked to do for a majority of the year in high school was be a 4-5 type of player because his team was guard heavy and had little in the way of height except for him. Just my 2 cents.

Notices that today, being asked to post up almost every possesion and play the middle of a 2-3 zone...unfortunate.
