What sucked is William Brice Stadium was louder last night that Neyland has been in 10 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
road trips are fun regardless
I just got back. I had a great time. After 5 losses, there was no way I was walking into that stadium expecting much different than what I saw.
One thing that did become sadly apparent . . . Gamecock fans really need to work on knowing how to cheer with a big lead. It got pretty comical in the 4th quarter.
No...
Sure are!
Couldn't have said much different. I walked in expecting a loss, and that is exactly what happened. It was a disappointing state though because there were so few Tennessee fans there than I have ever seen at a SC game. Of course the football team has given us fans many reason not to travel, but it truely hit what a sad state we are in when it is extremely quiet in the stadium when SC had the ball, especially on third down situations.
Gamecock fans were extremely quiet. I've heard them much lowder at Neyland than I heard them last night. It's like they don't know how to handle a lead or a win. It was really just a dull environment all around, but I still had fun. So many gamecock fans were leaving in the 4th, why wouldn't you celebrate a win against a team you rarely get?
On a side note, SC can never seem to beat Tennessee when UT has a winning season...![]()
All in all it was just a terrible football game to watch . . . 17 punts and maybe 2 or 3 sustained 40+ yard drives all night long . . . and none of it really mattered because I had a great parking spot with a good tailgate.
Unless Ray Golf, Brad Scott, Tommy West, Gene Stallings, Jerry Dinaro, Bunting take back over Georgia, SC, Clemson, LSU, North Carolina you aint getting top prospects from those states with any degree of regularity anymore.
So get use to it, no matter who your next coach is.
Actually guys, South Carolina fans are very smart football fans. I was there, we knew yall pretty much stink. So beating you was no huge deal.
End of story.
But the fact of the matter is if you think South Carolina has not elevated their program, you are whistlen past the grave yard. One look at the past 10 years Rivals rankings vs the previous 10 years will open your eyes pretty quick.
Tennesse use to pick players from NC SC GA AL LA, now each of these states are locked down for the most past. Tennesse demographically is not a good D1 football prospect state.

Yes Golf,, it's a play on words,, like Goof, ya know a joke, nevermind I forget whom im speaking with.
Look back at the # of players from Bama you guys had when Stallings was the coach, sad when I know more about your programs history than you do.
Nice try but no way you meant that as a joke.
Also looking at your posts from when you first joined compared to now after beating UT, dare I say someone has gotten a little "cocky".
I am a pretty level headed USC fan, but if you don't think that we are closing the gap with you all, you are blinded by your bias. Continuing down this path will lead you to the basement.
We don't use the "gap" with USC as a measuring stick, believe it or not. As long as your goal is to simply close a gap with UT, you will continue to be middle of the pack in the East.
