If I was going to buy a subscription to a recruiting website, which of the two would you recommend?

My buddy has a scout account. I use it from time to time. I really like it. But I can't compare since I've never seen what a subscriber to rivals has access to.

But scout always has some interesting info.

Depends on which sport you're focusing on. I think Rivals has good football coverage. Neither of them have adequate basketball coverage.

I subscribed to both of them at one time. IMO Rivals is much better than scout for both sports. Scout is very slow in posting commitments, recruits interests in teams, etc. They have a very good national coordinator for basketball but they are slow getting the info up.

I too would recommend Rivals. But as hatvol says, if its hoops you're looking for, hoopmasters is your destination.

I'm looking for football, football, and more football. Since Pearl, I've gotten more into basketball, but it's still secondary.

IMO you get much better "inside" information from the regular posters on Scout. Scout is slower to update but once the bowls are over and the focus is 100% on recruiting for a couple of months I think it will even out.

Why pay for something when you can watch ESPN and the posts here that those who do pay impart to us all.
