Rivals rank Vols No. 40 in recruiting so far

Don't expect a top 10 class from us this year. I do think Fulmer will get the a few DT's for next year though, and if that happens everyone should be happy with the class.

We aren't having the best class but we also aren't signing skill position players b/c they are not a need and that henders our ranking... If we can get a couple more 4* DT and OL, this class should be pretty good.

At this point it isn't going to be "pretty good" whatever way you spin it. 2 dissapointing classes in 3 years isn't good, so it's a good thing last year's was so good. This year if we sign any DT's (since we currently have 0 commited) and 2 or 3 more OL, we will have avoided a disaster, but it's way too late to salvage a "pretty good" class.

the problem is that we are loaded at wr rb db..a lot of kids want to come in right away and play and those r the skill positions alot of the rivals 100 r wr rb and db so thats 1 reason were not getting these plaers or losing them to bad teams lik ole miss unc... it seems that so cal n uf always have top 10 classes but thats wat u get when u make ur program into the top tier programs and it doesnt hurt ur located in cali and gainsville even though g-ville is boring as hell.. next yr well get a bigger and more explosive lass b/c we will lose some key players so if we can sign some big dt and ol i be happy but would love to get abrams ward and davis ove them all

Actually the rivals 100 is very balanced, and we are not by any means loaded at WR. The only talented prospects at this point are Paige and Jones. I doubt that O'Neill works out. RB is a different story, but a couple running backs don't make or break the class. Davis and Curtis are the only prospects that apply. We have a need at OL and DL and we have yet to fill either of those needs. Also with the departure of Mayo, a LB or two would be nice, and we also need some DB's. PT is not the problem. The problem is we have done a horrible job recruiting this year, period.

So one WR that had 1000 yards receiving and another one that made the SEC all freshman team aren't talented? Then there are players like Todd Campbell that we haven't seen yet who might be pretty damn good themselves. Rod Wilkes is going to be pretty good too. No reason to use any more scholly's on WRs when we need other things more.

Sorry, missed on Moore. Wilkes is also solid. Even so, I'm not complaining about the WR's, but at this point do we have any future NFL WR's? Look at all the successful years we've had. 97, Nash, first round pick, 98, Price, 99, Wilson, 2001, Stallworth, Washington. Do we have a Price or a Stallworth anywhere on the roster? no. So why in the world would a 5 star reciever come to Tennessee worried about PT????
