Rivals projects no bowl for UT

I'd rather go to one of those minor bowls in Florida than the dump in Birmingham, located in a ghetto.

Who wants to see our team get beat by some crappy team in some crappy bowl anyway?

Exactly. Imagine the utter humilation of limping out of Nashville or Memphis or Shreveport or Louisville or some other site of some bottom-tier bowl with a 6-7 record after being humiliated by, oh, I dunno, Northwestern, maybe Clemson yet again, maybe Purdue.... or how about Duke?

Rivals.com College Football - Rivals.com 2008 bowl projections

They have the SEC #9 position in the Papa John's Bowl filled by Pitt vs. Troy. So, they must be thinking 5-7 or worse for our guys.

Isn't Rivals a Brentwood group of big-10 boys???

meh, who cares, regardless of whether we make it or not, bowl projections arent worth anything till the 8th or 9th games of the season; till then you might as well let NCAA 09 make up your bowl projections

I have my doubts about some of their player evaluations as well!

Imagine something else you __________ (fill in blank)

Nobody wants to go to Birmingham and risk getting mugged.

Birmingham should be burnt to the ground and rebuilt!!

How do you figure that Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Kentucky all have open weeks in 2008 before playing UT in 2008???? Did Mike Hamilton sign off on that???

I don't think you can say it any better than that right there. UT isn't supposed to be like this. Unless we get a new head coach in there mediocrity is going to be a way to life in Knoxville for a long time to come.

You talking about fair weather fans or coaching???

Coaching... I don't think you can blame the fans for being frustrated at this point. UT needs some new blood in there.

I may go to the game if I think we will win. I don't want to shell out a lot of money, take time off, and then lose badly. It is a double whammy.

from what i have seen so far, we do not deserve to be anywhere even remotely close to a bowl during bowl season.

Frustrated perhaps, in a state of panic? No way.

Read my comments on AtM and their quest for new blood here.

Tubby just gave the boot to some of his new blood btw.

UT will get 6 wins, and go to a bowl somewhere. Hopefully, it's somewhere warm.

HAHAHA! That's the funniest thing I've read today. Please tell me the 4 games on our schedule we can win? We will be lucky to get 1 more SEC win.
