Rivalries with the other five SEC powers

Just to pass some time, how would you rank UT's rivalries with the other five SEC powerhouses, plus your personal order of hatred and why?

Rivalry:

1. Alabama
2. Florida
3. Georgia
4. LSU
5. Auburn

Personal:

1. Georgia (grew up a Georgia Tech fan)
2. Georgia (was born to hate them that much)
3. Georgia (had a beer thrown at me from the upper deck by a UGA fan)
4. Florida (they didn't accept me)
5. Alabama (almost went there and rooted for them a bit last year, but they're a UT rival so I have to hate them by default)
6. LSU (pretty much neutral)
7. Auburn (sister went there, root for them whenever they aren't playing UT or GT)

For the record, I'm a new UT student, so that should clear some of those up a bit.

Auburn use to be #2 in many minds after Alabama before the split in 1992.

Me, personally?

1a. Florida (a more important game every year)
1b. Alabama
3. Georgia. They feel like they are a great program, when they are really aren't. Take away V. Dooley and they really have no tradition.
4. Auburn.
5. LSU.

1a. Florida (all their fans are complete pricks, and i live in florida..)
1b. Alabama (nuff said)
2. Kentucky (havnt lost in my lifetime)
3. Georgia (because they arent as good as they are portrayed)
4. LSU (my hatred started young)
5. Florida (so sick of their shh)
6. Florida (coach is full of himself (as told by a good friend that plays on the team))

I agree it's more important for us to beat Florida to get to the SECCG, but from a tradition standpoint, that belongs to Alabama. So I would put Bama 1a and Florida 1b. The rest I agree with.

1. Alabama (live in the past too much)
2. Florida (no tradition up until Spurrier)
3. Georgia (can't back up their talk)
4. Auburn (think they're among the top 10 best programs of all time)
5. LSU (passionate fans ,but too crazy )

well for the past 30 years we havint owned florida... but i see what your saying... from about 90 on we have butted heads... but the 80s and before it was all us...

1. Alabama: oldest rival....hate their fans
2. Florida: Very close....more like a 1b.
3: Auburn: Im still pissed about the 2 games in 04....and I think we've lost 5 straight to them now

1. Florida - Boss is a Florida fan and I really hate my boss.
2. Auburn - Brother is a Auburn fan and I dislike my brother almost as much as I hate my boss.
3. LSU - Just because

You're makin me think about things I hate ...
Me personally:

1a. Florida -- sure they're talented, but also cheat and whine
1.b Bama -- see above, only more tradition
3. SC -- hate Spurrier more than any one single individual involved with college football. Ironically, before he got there, SC was probably my 2nd favorite team in conference.
4. Ole Miss -- aint got no use for them elitist malakas
5. tie between GA (rival in SEC east) or Vandy (cross-state whiny rival-wannabe and team of my wife's family) (sorry, Maw-in-law, U R a sainte)

I ranked them in this order for the following reasons. 1.Bama because grew up waiting for 3rd Saturday in October. 2. Florida because their fans act like they care now! When till spurrier got there no one even acknowledged the gators. 3.Some of their fans pelted me with dasani water bottle caps. 4.I am looking into the future and can see if they ever beat us again in football them running their mouth when we keep our mouths shut just beating them every year. 5.LSU because 2001 SEC championship game and in 2005 after Katrina game we won their idiot fans busted out our teams bus windows. 6.Vandy because they are leeches, they continue to be terrible and wanna share the pie from the bowl revenue. 7.Auburn because of the Pat dye happy to tie game and they are located in Alabama but they arent higher on my list of hatred because they hate Bama as much as we do. 8.Ole miss because they beat us like a drum when Kiner said Archie who and as a side point they are pathetic. i mean we have the Vol walk. they call theirs the Walk of Champions, however they havent won a SEC title since 1968. 9.Mississippi St because cowbells and starkville is a dump. my last 2 got mercy since they havent been in the SEC as long. 10.South Carolina since they had Lou holtz and Steve Spurrier and before that the mullet man himself Steve Tanneyhill beat us in Johnny Majors final season. 11.Arkansas gets the least hatred since that 98 fumble kept our National Championship dreams alive. There you have it my rankings and partial reasons why.

1.Florida- I'm a younger fan, so this game has more recent effect on me(My first game was the kick also).
2. Alabama- every UT fan hates Alabama
3.Georgia- just don't like them(and both teams are usually good).
4.South Carolina- not to big of a game, because they are so bad, but still an inter division game and Spurrier.
5.the rest are equal.

01) Bama, always Bama. Like it or not, more years than not, the SEC runs through that turd of a program.

02) Florida - Johnny come latelies if SEC elite. UT has not handled them in going on 2 decades. Tradition or not, they have handed us our a** often enough.

03) Georgia - The similarities of the programs are striking, but Georgia has been on the wrong end of the stick this decade.

1) Alabama Enough said 2 ) Florida 3 ) Auburn 4) Kentucky 5) Georgia 6) Ole Piss 7) Vandy 8) LSWHO 9) South Carolina 10 Miss State 11 Arkansas PS My age showing here as a lot of the younger folks ould put Florida but growing up losing to those sillly Red elephants 11 years in a row gets them at the top and leaves em there now if you ask me for baskets Well Kentucky is a planet all their own

Before Mark Richt got to Athens, the Vols owned Georgia. Its been a little more back and forth recently and a better rivalry than it used to be.

I don't know. I consider Florida a big rival, but do you think that they consider us a major rival? They have owned the Vols lately. I think Alabama is the biggest rival because it has so much tradition behind it.

1. Alabama--There is not a team I hate more than Bama.....If we went 1-11 every year but could beat Bama, I'd be happy.

2. Florida--As long as I've been alive, I haven't seen us beat them much. I hate them almost as much as Alabama. When the two play, I wish there can be a tie.

3. Georgia-- Screw UGA....They can just go to hell.

Only other team I could even put in the list is Kentucky....I just love to see them lose...

The rest I could care less about...

1. UGA: I live 45 min from Athens and all my friends are Bulldogs. 10 years in a row of kicking that a** and I didn't run my mouth. 1 win and they won't shut up. Not to mention they think they are Alabama tradition wise.
2. Alabama: has anyone seen Deliverance? Add in a mullet or two and lie about your championships.
3. Florida: Can't get too upset about them having more talent. That being said they robbed us so much over the years it makes me sick (see 9/16/2000).

After those 3 I really don't care. I want to win them all, but those matter most.
