Ripping off an opposing players helmet is not a penalty?

It was incidental but since the opposing team pulled off the helmet Calloway didn't have to leave the game for a play.

I give props to the Kentucky player who was leaping trying to avoid hitting Calloway after the play was dead and while he was lying on the ground without his helmet.

Please explain.

It’s simple... every week the refs are against us... no face mask called, never a pass interference rven though Calloway and Jennings we’re getting mugged on key plays....

Did Warrior step Out of bounds??? It was very close and unless they had more views, no conclusive evidence to overturn the TD.... Ky was holding all night and were only called for it once... fistfuls of jerseys don’t count....

We’re just not getting any calls going our way.. I think the reason is either ref bias, or some refs really hate TN/ Pruitt....

es, he stepped out of bounds. Still a great play on a very poorly thrown pass.

Well two of th last three weeks an uncalled face-mask has occured. It is, awh hell I'm drunk.
There was a really bad one in the Bama-LSU game where the punt returner caught the ball and the first guy down turned his head almost 180 degrees and no call. It turned out not to matter as the returner then took the punt to the house. In the MN-Penn St the officials missed a delay of game by more than a full second (I believe it was 3rd and goal) allowing Penn St to score from the 6 and kept them in the game. Maybe they score from the 11 as well but it would’ve been a lot tougher. Refs will miss close calls and we all understand that but they are blowing really obvious ones and it is getting worse. Horrible officiating and terrible rules like the targeting the rule are greatly hurting the game.

Basically, welcome to Tennessee fandom.
Breaks will rarely go the team's way.
The team will have to overcome not just the other team but the officials.
You may as well watch games on mute because even when UT does well, the announcers will put it on the other team failing, and will be waiting for UT to fall apart.
Pride is respect for yourself even when others may not respect you.

Since we're talking refs, this seems like a great place to drop this:

Matt Austin Sucks. How in the world they decided he's the one who needed to be on TV is beyond me. I guess he drew the short straw at the annual refs convention in Tuscaloosa. He's awful, every game.

If he did he would have been called back for not having a helmet on. We’re Tn.
It has nothing to do with us being Tennessee. It’s a rule. If a players helmet comes off the play is over. It’s for safety.

It was absolutely a face mask. His hand was inside of Marquez’s face mask. Not to mention the whistle fumble save. The officiating was horrible last night. That being said we were still able to take care of business.
