Forgive me guys, but what is the name of the movie he was in about the med student drop out that started his own hospital?

I also believe it was based on a true story.

I don't know why this hits me so hard but it hurt me to see the news. I didn't really grow up with the guy, but I have seen so many of his movies, and they gave me so many laughs. He was a true talent, someone who portrayed his characters beautifully. I'm sorry he had personal struggles and couldn't handle them. Prayers for his family/friends during this difficult time. RIP Robin. One of the best imo.

I think he just went ahead in his own way as brilliance so often does.

He was God fearing and Jesus loved Him.

I don't know if it would have helped but he should have signed a prenup with his most recent ex-wife.

I enjoyed his movies greatly growing up. He will definitely be missed.

Also, I believe he suffered from bi-polar disorder. Really hits home having watched my brother deal with it for over 25 years.

Very sad news. This guy was part of my childhood and adolescence. He gave a tremendous performance in The World According to Garp. Always remember the line "Bonkers, you hairy SOB gimme that paper!"

Remember another early film he did called The Survivors with Walter Matthau and Jerry Reed. Reviews and box office were low but i thought it was pretty funny and given this, somewhat foreboding. RIP Robin.

My wife told me about this late yesterday afternoon and its still shocking.

He was one of my moms favorites and she and I loved watching him together.

So sad.

RIP Airman 2nd Class Adrian Cronauer
