In HS, my best friend's brother took his life. He was 2 years older than us but always tagged along with us because he didn't have his own friends. One day, just after he passed, somebody put the single "I'll See You When You Get There" in my cassette player and we cruised to that joint for like 10 weeks without ever changing the radio. It was mostly funny to us, but also cathartic in a sappy way that nobody wanted to admit. Finally, my buddy ripped it out of the player and threw it out my car window and that was that. Can't hear Coolio's name without thinking of my guy.

Also, I saw Coolio at the Las Vegas airport and he was shockingly small. I would guess 5' 8" and 140 lbs. It's not all that small, but you just don't get the right picture from TV. He threw up a hand when I hollered at him.
