RIP Coach Bob Black

Former player, football coach and athletic director at Fulton High School who passed away Monday per today's News Sentinel.

He was 80 years old.

I knew him and his son Robbie when I was at Fulton from 1980-1982.

He was a good guy.

I was sad to hear of his passing. Seemed like a good man. Not many of his breed are left.

Dude cut me after a knee injury...lol. Seriously, he, Dickey Sharpe, and Coach Lacava were great guys back in the day. Loved them all---but he really did cut me. My knee's still screwed up.

He was an awfully good guy. In addition to coaching at Fulton - he umpired our baseball games - a good umpire - very nice and likeable.
