As far as I am concerned, they still are.

I agree, this one is just hard to let go off......30+ years of putting their stamp on Tennessee football that I grew up to love and cherish......

Truly a definiton of a VFL. Pure excellence in color commentary and insight into the game of football. None of us will hear the likes of Ward/Anderson again. They put the emphasis on the GAME and the PLAYERS rather than on themselves or some ill-advised hype like the new ESPN drivel. Godspeed Bill Anderson.

John Ward and Bill Anderson were the class of college football when it comes to calling games.....


The duo was in large part, the reason I have such fond memories of Tennessee football.......and basketball too

in case no one else has posted it...here is a dated interview with the best tandem in sports at the time. It looks to have been made around 92 or 93. It's really good because they were still also in their prime. Prior to Peyton even.
