What should fans expect out of him? All anyone hears is that he will be the starter by X game because Worley will not make the entire season. Is it just hearsay and film from high school that everyone ( everyone meaning volnation) is basing his worth as a starter?

Have you not learned (in nearly 3 years time) to avoid starting a thread by listing a players name? We all think injury (or gunshot wound).

Honestly i can see that aslong as he figures out how to take care of the ball. If he does not do this he will lose his spot to Dobbs for sure.

Most of his allure to me comes from his confidence and ability to make throws that our other qb's can't. Dobbs has been putting in major work it seems though and balled in the o&w game so I wouldn't be surprised if he started the season ahead of Ferguson in the depth chart

Why? That's my question. Why do you say that? He is not proven and he will be up against 2 Qb's with SEC starting experience which is a slightly different scenario the any other SEC QB competition. So why all the hype? I'm genuinely curious.

Imo, it's just fans being optimistic and hoping for the best. Maybe and hopefully they're right, but at this point i doubt there's any real reason.

His allure is that he hasn't seen the field. UT fans saw what Worley could and couldn't do and wanted Peterman. They saw Peterman stink it up at UF and wanted Dobbs. They gave Dobbs nicknames, etc. before he took a snap and he looked like a true FR when playing.

It's a microcosm of the only thing UT fans have at this moment, and that's hope. We've seen the other 3 QB's and HOPE Ferguson is better.

The same people that think a player was shot or injured because of his name as the thread title ,IMO.

Got to understand the volnation way......always unbridled pessimism and scrutiny til the end. (and even after you have a reason to be happy/content continued pessimism from some here on volnation)

Worley is the starter. At this point Dobbs is 2nd string. Worley should have a better season based on better wide receivers. There was an easy 2-3 drops every single game that stopped the chains from moving.

You need to understand, although Dobbs looks like a great QB in spurts...he is only here for 3 years and then off to grad school. If you want to put him in and loose him after year 3 is not a good plan for the future of UT.

Only disagreement I have is that I have seen Worley play and I would actually rather have him on the field than any of the other QB's. We were able to beat #4 USCe with him at QB and the other QB's looked more like "deer in headlights" and I imagine RF would look the same way. Bring on the senior QB and let's do it!

This is Dobbs dad who is pushing him to be an astronaut and not a QB . Hi Mr. Dobbs.

Yeah, we should be focusing on QB prospects who will have 10 years of eligibility.

Who assumed we'd be down three injured quarterbacks last season? After that scenario played out, and with our O line as big a question currently as it is, anyone who wants us to be able to consistently field a scholarship should be worried :)

I was especially impressed with the bobbled snap that turned into a 50+ yard TD. Either he is real good...or....gulp...oh good grief not another year of pourous defense.
