Riley Ferguson not accepted into Charlotte...

Maybe but I'd say it had more to do with the coaches putting a little extra pressure on him in the O&W game then having Dobbs look better... ALOT better.

I still can't get over how well Dobbs played in the spring game. Even against the 2nd team, he was really quite remarkable. He's put in some serious hours to improve his game since we last saw him on the field. That kind of work ethic combined with his intelligence and natural talent is going to take him places.

He a gangster though. He keeping it real. Seriously though... Please stop with the Ferguson threads. Couldn't care less what happens to our fourth string qb that doesn't want to work hard and compete here. Thanks for wasting a scholly we could have offered to someone else rf

I heard he might become a member of the Justin Bieber Band

Dear Eddie

Jimmy Cheek is as responsible for the state of the program as he is the fact that you and the other band mates decided to record an album with Gary Cherone.

The constant need to cast blame on him for something that isn't even true (academic conditions hindering the program) is unfair regardless of how many cigarettes you smoke or how many boogers he eats.

It's not his fault the last time the vols were relevant, so was your music.

Good luck as a member of another group, the AARP,

Hard for me to thumbs up a gator, but that was pretty funny.

As a note, I looked up some of the stats about UNC-Charlotte and US News and World Report says they accept 68.5% of incoming freshmen and rank 201st on their list of Best Colleges and National Universities.

Obviously RF isn't coming in as a freshmen, but how bad must his grades have been IF it is true he couldn't get in as a transfer?

I've been thinking for a while now that you were Jimmie Cheek. Now I'm sure.

This is as funny as Giancarlo Stanton hitting zero homers in a round of the homerun derby.

Damn that Jimmy Cheek and all his academic restrictions keeping Tennessee from signing anyone who is academically questionable.

Say, how's Tennessee been doing on the recruiting trail lately?

Damn that gator troll.

I can't believe the 99gator got more likes defending that other gator, Jimmy Cheek, and then going so far as to say Tennessee hasn't been relevant since 5150!!!!

How many other gators lurk on this board?????

He'll apologize, come back, win the starting job, and you will all love him again. There will be comparisons of Peyton Manning and you'll all just laugh it off. As long as he's at UT he's the best there ever was or will be. Subjective thinking is rare around here.

You're thinking of Hellabama fans

If he can't get in UNCC he can try Chapel Hill. I hear they have special classes for athletes to take

Hope that this young man can find a school to be successful. We were all young and ignorant of things in the world. We have all made mistakes and I am thankful that I was given chances by understanding adults to learn from those mistakes that helped make me a better person today.

99gator,

Please stop defending Jimmy Cheek. He has not advanced his flagship program at UT one iota since his arrival. His abhorrence for the one UT global brand is counterproductive.

He's also been caught on camera eating boogers.

All the best,

Eddie Vol Halen

Sorry, but Cheek's primary responsibility is not to field a good football team. That doesn't mean that he has to impose unnecessary restrictions, but his focus needs to be on the true "flagship" of the university, and that is its academic programs and standing.
