Welp this is right were we thought we would be....almost everyone said we would be 2-2 through this stretch. Be mad if you want but this is right on pace.

Uh 2-2 while being competitive is different than being 2-2 blown out by 40. Justify it if you want but don't piss on my back and tell me it's raining

competitive against TAM but against the #1 team and program in the country with almost 1/2 our starting line out for injuries? no.

Today we saw the difference between a good team and a very mediocre team. I've been reading VolNation for the last several years but this is my first post. I've been a Vol fan through good and bad since the days of Bowden Wyatt, so I'm an old guy, played HS football and consider myself a student of the game. If I can predict 9 out of 10 times what our next play will be, so can the opposing coaches. Good teams play with reckless abandon, controlled mayhem and I see none of that in our team. It isn't lack of talent; it is lack of preparation. Our coaching staff lacks the ability to motivate and get our guys ready for war, which is what football should be. We're undisciplined and I don't see any player giving 110% on every play. I think today's players are spoiled and think way too much of themselves and not enough of the team. Again, this is the responsibility of coaches. I'll add my thoughts from time to time when I feel like I have something germane to add.

I don't think anyone saw OT to Appy State, barely beating Ohio, needing a prayer to beat UGa and getting blown the EFF out by Bama. We aren't where most thought we should be.

Yeah... about half the original starters out plus some back ups.... EXACTLY where we thought they'd be.

Seriously, no, we're not where we thought we'd be. A hard-fought, respectable L to Bama could have kept us a darkhorse in the playoff picture, but the Vols are out of the conversation now. Even if Team 120 wins out (against unranked teams struggling to be bowl eligible), UT won't finish the season as a Top 10 team up for a NY6 bowl. We don't even control our own destiny in the SECE.
