Anyone without orange-colored glasses can see that this clown has driven it to the same depths, or worse. Enough with the false platitudes for butch.

The only thing better now is we have more talent for the next coach. Other than that, it's worse than Dooley now.

That's a little much. He's only marginally better than Dooley. But the state of the program is several steps ahead.

Yep Wylo. There is talent on this roster. There was minimal talent at Dooley’s departure.

We aren’t getting much accomplished with the talent obviously though.

Relax. Nowhere near where Dooley left it. We have to thank Butch for at least keeping Tennessee “respectable” and not laughable.

I think the level of talent the next coach will have to work with is considerably better. With that said, if he was to be given another year, the program would be in worse shape than it was in 2012.

Sorry but program is better. We have better talent and grades are up. We were so close to losing scholarships because of grades. We have won more games than Dooley. We still are not back to the 80s, forget the 90s. That being said, we know Butch's ceiling and have known for a long time.

I respectfully disagree. Butch has benefitted from a much weaker SEC East which has given a false impression that we are better off. The reality is that those around us have bottomed out and then did the hard work to improve, which is why you now see a widening gulf between us and them the last two seasons.

Dooley had one bowl game and had them ranked once in his 3 years. He also hired the worst defensive coordinator but still managed to whip Butch.

Dooley's offense was a hell of a lot better than Butch's.

Neither know ish about defense.

Special teams edge to Butch.

We have so much talent, our water boy has been considered for the Heisman! Everyone knows The Great Coach Jones attracts the most talented players from across the US, he's like a talent magnet. If you don't believe this, just look at how his teams have played! There are those that believe you should judge talent by what they have done, not what others say they can someday do, but that wouldn't be fair now would it..... After this years showing, Butch will attract even more super talent-he's just that good.

I get really tired of people bringing up the fact that Butch lost to Dooley while at Cincy. There is not a single characteristic those two schools have in common other than both hired Butch.

Butch's tenure is ending in a disappointing manner, but Dooley was baaaadddddd. Really no comparison imo.
