Ricky Gibson to miss an extended period of time...

It does appear we have depth at CB. I agree with the notion that Hood and Redmond may be better than Gibson anyway. If we can keep Redmond and Hood healthy . . . And get McCoy back for UGA we are in great shape.

Hate to lose Gibson . . . But it’s not catastrophic.

To me the bigger issue is CJH indicates Moi should be back soon as well as Sanders. We need a healthy Moi and Hobbs . . .

Any details on what the injury is? I saw he only played 19 snaps and I was concerned. Getting McCoy back by UGA would be huge. McMurray and Hood played really well. Seems like they’ll put Boo at Star/Nickel and McMurray and Hood at CB. Redmond played well enough but I’d feel more comfortable with McMurray on the other side.

Gibson I believe still hasn’t grabbed an INT.

He’s been solid. He would test well at the combine: but the difference between himself and Jermond McCoy is like Cordarrelle Patterson and JeVonta Payton.

Both starting material at the very least but one is a superstar. Redmond looked good. Still to early. Hood looks very good. We still have other guys at CB too. We’re still not super deep, but we have the depth to compete for any kind of goal we have.

Is it realistic for McCoy to be back for UGA? I have been under the assumption that he was likely to miss at least the first month of the season.

What did you see when UGA played the mighty Marshall Thundering Herd? This isn’t UGA of last year, nor UGA of a couple years ago. Tennessee absolutely has a chance next weekend.

If we can keep it close and keep the crowd in the game then we for sure do. The crowd needs to make Stockton’s ears bleed during their possessions though.
