NO! Dude is past his prime and washed up. He has lost the fire it would take to rebuild this program. He's just like Fulmer was in his last few years.
I'm pumped about this hire. I think he'll be able to turn things around quicker than an up and comer simply because of his instant credibility In front of recruits. I'm anxious to see if he can pull a couple of late signees. I think the current players will want to stay on as well.
Quite honestly, option 3 is ludicrous. This team can't even make the tournament and we are talking championships?!?!
Rick Barnes for 5 years, adding stability, improvement to the roster.... this is a HUGE upgrade.
I don't know all the stats, but I'd argue that Rick Barnes alone has a more impressive basketball history than the entire UT Basketball Program.

If some posters can't see the huge upgrade being made, they can become bandwagon fans later or just keep on being haters. If his health stays good he could be our HC for 8-10 years. That could result in our first Final Four with the talent he recruits. The path to it is easier through the SEC than the Big 12. RB and his wife are moving back home. They know what the area and the Vols are about. This is a HR hire for Hart and all of us.
