HAHA why is this even a thread. Guy has bills to pay. What do you expect him to say? BTW Barnes has the basketball team looking good for once, so lay off him bro.

So far I'm truly unimpressed with our current administration. However, I think Rick Barnes and Vol basketball should be left out of this mess. Rick and the team are doing a good job---they appear to have things moving in the right direction.

Chanting at the game was poor form.

Well, obviously the paid university employee is going to support his employee. That is such a novel idea.

Honestly, while I support freedom of speech, what UT fans SHOULD be doing is going down to Thompson-Boling right now and cheering their voices off for those men and women and showing the athletic department what we will do when you provide us with a winning product. The basketball teams deserve your support, and you can still protest football in other ways. I mean I still plan to tweet, distance myself from spending money on UT apparel, and first and foremost not buy any football tickets for 2018 if we hire a nobody coach.

But, the basketball team doesn't need to be in your crosshairs when you shoot.

Barnes can hit the road too. This is bigger than him. This is about fighting corruption at the highest levels within our university. It's a grass roots movement to wrestle back control from the crooks that own Pilot oil and the puppets the Haslimes have placed in charge at UT.

Barnes is nothing but a Haslime pecker gnat. He doesn't love Tennessee. He's old and rich and out of touch with the current situation. He needs to shut his his mouth and focus on coaching. If he doesn't make the tournament, he's next.

And people call Ainge immature, but just look over this gem. God, our fanbase is pathetic.

Barnes is making diamonds out of coal, he is turning around the dumpster fire that was tennessee basketball. You clearly have no clue what you are talking about. Leave him out of this.

You should probably take your own advice and stop whining about a 5-1 team that has beaten a Top 25 team, nearly beat another, and doesn't look anything like the cross-sport product we're all complaining about with football.

And we wonder why college sports view our fanbase as toothless, uneducated, hicks.

He threw a few small bones to Currie, but what he was saying was: "Don't belittle our efforts. This isn't just a public gathering, it's a basketball game. The basketball team is playing, and playing well. Let them know you appreciate that instead of bringing in stuff that has nothing to do with them to interfere with their game."

Nothing to see here. Currie went to Bahamas and showed support for Basketball- as he should - and Barnes/ team appreciates it.

Barnes should just thank fans for showing up and hope even more turn out next week. “I hope they are even more vocal in their support of our great team”. Let the rest of it go - just urge and reward proper behavior

As much as I can't stand Currie I do agree with him in that we should leave it out of basketball game and just support the BasketVOLS. They are doing great this year.
