Rick Barnes: Estrella seems fine, but we’ll see

Just saw him while I was on a walk. He is on crutches now, and his leg seems to be wrapped up pretty much the entire length of his leg. It did not look like he had a brace on, just a wrap to reduce swelling if i had to guess. I would highly doubt he's going to be available this weekend.
That doesn't sound very encouraging (crutches and full length wrap).

Any speculation on when he will be available is nonsense until the nature of his injury is known. If it's just a contusion, could be almost immediate, strain -- maybe a week or two, ligament (e.g. ACL) -- he's done for the year.
If it were a ligament he would not have been back out on the bench with ice in the second half.

Pretty sure we can rule that out.

Hey, if Knecht can play in the very next game after suffering a severely twisted ankle against UNC then Estrella should be back in time for the Vegas tourney.

When you say a strain, I assume that it would be a strained ligament? When you say a ligament you mean a tear?

Strained/hyperextended ligament or muscle yes. Ligament tear would be a worst case scenario.

Like all of us, I'm hopeful and praying that's it's more of the minor variety.
