Useful advice. When you consider that close to 99% of teams "lose" the NCAA tournament, it really is best to enjoy the entire ride from beginning to end. It really is a good thing to win regular season games and an occasional conference regular season and tournament championship.

I keep reading this and I’ve yet to see any legitimate names that’s been thrown out there to back up this claim.

Did you have any clue who Jay Wright was before he got to Villanova? Most didn't. Heck... Most UT fans had never heard of Bruce Pearl before he was hired here. My point is, there are nameless faceless coaches out there who will be household names in the future. Hopefully, White Dan can find us one of those guys and we won't be stuck with Wade Houston and Jordan's roommate.

Uhhh Texas did not make the E8 or F4 KD’s season. You guys gripe your heads off and then inevitably tell everyone you really are just talking out of your ass. Incredible, really.

I agree. Still waiting on all of these awesome coaches to replace Barnes. Barnes is the best thing to happen to Tennessee basketball since Pearl. At least we are competing and worth watching. I’ll take that over a double digit loss season. Also, it’s tough to judge this team thus far as they’ve probably played the toughest three game stretch that anyone will see all season.


Purdue, Kansas and UNC at UNC is a murderers row of competition. I think we will fair nicely in conference play.

With the benefit of hindsight it's always easy to question decisions. Some decisions merit criticism, but you must understand the man making them has far more knowledge and experience making those decisions

Ky will absolutely destroy us (cue the "Barnes owns Cal posters")

We will have major problems with A&M; Ark and Bama will be tossups.

I expect we will end up 2nd or 3rd best record in SEC.

The irony of Pearl’s Elite Eight was that they made it with less than his best team. More evidence (that some won’t believe) that tournament basketball doesn’t always adhere to what people believe the norms should be.

What was so crazy was they defeated #1 seed OSU in sweet 16...

Then lost to Michigan State in elite 8 whose best player was Draymond Green...😏😏😏
