Like I have said for 2 months, we will win one game in each of the two tournaments. You can’t be so inconsistent and not have a pure shooter and win in this league. Sad but true. We will be a 4/5 seed next week and we will be done before Sunday. I have to say this is Barnes worst coaching season since he has been with the Vols. No one on this team other than Owaka has gotten any better. I think each player has regressed.

Saying this is his worst coaching season is asinine, especially considering the roster turmoil we have. You’re just emotional from the loss. I think the easy choice would be the Keon/Jaden year

Maybe next year's squad will be a bit more explosive and athletic to get up and down the court a bit. But we're a very methodical team. We don't press and we like forcing teams to work in the half court.

The only chance Barnes has is he needs to recruit players that can shoot. Either these kids are getting ruined once they get here because he stresses D so much or he is putting too much pressure on them on offense and are afraid to make a mistake. Either way got to have offense.

If you want to DIG at Barnes you don't compare him to a Pearl. He's STELLAR until he gets to the SHOW. I guess people expect him to be a Coach K, Izzo, Self, etc. But WHO else is? Barnes has done his job at TN, just need to accept the lacking part. You'll enjoy the game more. Losing attitude? No just A reality.

Rick Barnes is who he is guaranteed 20 wins every year play in NCAA Tourney yearly and recruits well and runs clean cut program. Some on here act like we're a blue blood in basketball reality check when were we ever. Maybe go back to the years when nobody gave a damn about basketball Wade Houston ,Kevin O'Neill Jerry Green, Buzz Petersen and let's not forget Donny Tyndall now that guy was a winner not

Nah, that season was derailed by COVID. If you'll remember we even had a pause early because of the rules about quarantine.

To me the most disappoint season coaching was 2019-20, sure you lost Bone, Kyle, Admiral, and Grant...but 17-14 and the 2 previously great seasons you didn't have anyone ready to go on the bench? Turner goes down and the season was only saved by getting Santi eligible early (which essentially wasted a season for him imo).

And even then...that roster should have been good enough to win 20 games. Pons, Fulky, Bowden, Turner, Santi, JJJ, Jalen Johnson, and even ON....yet they went 17-14 and were just an awful offense.

I can already hear the excuses. “Underseeded”, “power five team that got hit”, “shot the lights out”, “fluky”, “injuries” “it was that 100 year old witch”. Sick of the same ole stuff every tourney

Once again not a Barnes hater, but blaming fans for wanting more is dumb to me. Alabama isn't a blue blood and they're about to be the #1 overall seed. Things have changed. NC, UK, and Duke all struggled. You don't have to be a blue blood to have higher expectations. And you can still appreciate Barnes and want more.
