Yes you do.
No, I don't. But it's ridiculous to make the claim that championships don't matter. I swear some people are so sensitive about Barnes that they think anything critical about his job performance is rampaging hate. Barnes is the third best coach we've ever had. Barnes is notorious for losing during the time when coaching legends are made. Both are true.
You can’t say coaches are defined only by March and also say Mears was better than Barnes here. Mears had zero tournament wins. No, I don't. Forgot about that one.
However, it’s still stupid to base a HC off March Madness.

Your statement that he is the third best coach UT has ever had is an opinion . Just like my opinion is he is the best coach in UT has ever had, although I think there is more data to back up my claim that he is the best coach, then your claim that he is the third best.
Rick Barns has stabilized the program and lifted it to a level of consistency and class that it has never had before. People that do not appreciate what this man has done as the UT head coach need to open their eyes and appreciate what we have.
Good stuff, RJF. It’s the malcontents who speak most often and the loudest. I just laugh at the absurdity.Your statement that he is the third best coach UT has ever had is an opinion, not a fact. Just like my opinion is he is the best coach UT has ever had, although I think there is more data to back up my claim that he is the best coach than your claim that he is the third best. I don’t have time to get into all of that, but it’s not just about winning and losing (which he is very good at) but also about the class with which he runs the program.
Rick Barnes has stabilized the program and lifted it to a level of consistency and class that it has never had before, imo. The man is professionalism personified, not self-promoting gimmickry. People that do not appreciate what this man has done as the UT head coach need to open their eyes and appreciate what we have.
Pearl was in decline and wasn’t going to be able to keep playing in the gray area here. He was done.
