flat out coach. There was no reason UT should have been in that game with the size disparity. Those guys left it all on the floor tonight. Refs were a freaking joke. Wiltjer already NBA ready as he walked about 4 times tonight with no call. Anyway, not a moral victory guy, but the Vols are in good hands w/ CRB.

2nd half adjustments were great. Stagnated Zaga and made it a game. UT still had some issues offensively late but I think Rick is great.

2nd half adjustments were great but until the team is put in the right spot for success with the opening tip is tossed I am not going all in with Barnes

I like a number of things he is doing but game planning isn't one of them and I think that one is huge

Definitely some bad to go with the good. Why not double Sabonis every time he touched it.(unless your guarding Wiltjer) Not much can be done with Reese, but at least see the ball and your man on out of bounds plays.

Separate issue kinda but I don't think Hubbs should have played tonight. He wasn't ready, and it could have done him and us more harm than good. Jmo

We were highly competitive with a 6'4 guy playing PF.

Completely agree OP.
I saw this season as a dumpster fire coming in and honestly from a w-l perspective, there isn't that much progress.

However, we are competing against teams that are out of our leagues (at least on paper).

We still need a signature win (No Dooley 2.0) but I am certainly 100% behind CRB with the knowledge he has shown so far.

Didn't hurt that Mostella scored 13 in the second half... zero in the first.

Mostella did fine but his play was very minimal in the comeback. Most of that 13 was in the last 2min.

The comeback was make by double teaming the post, sagging off the shooters, baulkman, and the pace slowing

More of a swarm than a double team when he put it on the floor. Really effective the first few minutes of the second. He still got 36 pts.

What did he have a half?

Also got 8-10 the last few minutes on garbage plays and free throws

Gonzaga shot 17 more free throws than UT. That's why basketball will always suck balls compared to football. F'n refs dictate too damn much. What a f'n joke.
