If dooley wins at UT, UGA would rather have a proven winner as a head coach in the SEc (Dooley) than 2 unproven assistants.

The funny thing is we want UGA to be calling Dooley. If they are not interested in our coach than we made the wrong hire. Hopefully he won't leave us though. Btw we need uga to win at least 8-10 games a year. With a lost to us and Florida of course we will not have to worry about uga. Bc Uga could make a big hire and hurt our recruiting raid in Georgia. If we raid Georgia recruits while ga is down we will win a NC in 3-4 years. We signed 4 players from GA in 2009 all of which I think will play valuable time and we signed 6 in the 2010 class 3 of which will play this season.

Dooley has ties to UGA. Fortunately, UGA has done its dead level best to burn those ties in recent years. They may come after DD but I fully expect him to give 'em the finger when they do.

Coach DD hasn't even coached his first game and we're already talking about him splitting for another SEC school? Also, I work in Savannah, where there is a huge UGA backing. These people love Mark Richt. They just hated Willie Martinez, but they don't have to worry about him anymore...

I could never, ever see Vince Dooley relenting for his son to work for Micheal Adams. I think VD and Barbara would view it as a family betrayal.

This is off topic but I could not find the appropriate folder. What is going on over on VQ about JJackson possible transfer to USC. The whole thing is about Lame Kitten trying to offer his dad a job. This is kind of what I came up with from bits and pieces. What have yall heard. Any legs. Normally would laugh but knowing Lame nothing is beneath him.

I can't imagine that CDD'd parents are still making decisions for him..... They could view it however they want but Derek Dooley is his own man.

MR is the one who called Mike Garrett and reccomended he hire Lane. Buying himself more time at Ga. He saw the 2 spot in the East slipping away. Selfish bastage!

If Dooley does good here he isnt going anywhere. He has more class than the last coach by far. He didnt go to Georgia he went to Va. The man worked for Saban for 7 years that ought to tell you something there.

This is for those people who keep throwing out Gruden's name, he has told numerous sports writers that he hated recruiting what little time he was an assistant collage coach. Nuff said but the one thing about him is comments made about his coaching ability by some former NFL guys who played for him. In short, not very flattering. I don't think Warren Sapp cared for him very much, saying the assistant coaches did all the coaching and Gruden took the credit. If he is such a hot shot why wasn't he even mentioned for any of the recent NFL job openings? Tampa Bay had been wanting to dump him for several years and finally a good enough reason came along to do so.

The NCAA, the SEC, and the CFA to mention only a few organizations have been lamenting for some time the lack of black head coaches at major schools and conferences. For whatever reason, many ADs have not heard these appeals and it's my opinion a black AD at UGA will be more attuned to hear this. It's my opinion he'll seriously consider and hire if at all possible a quality black head coach. It's my further opinion men such as Charlie Strong have been overlooked for far to long as a head coach when others were put in line in front of them. If that was due to race I cannot say. But it sure appears that way from the outside looking in and it's a shame Charlie Strong as an example, was hired outside the SEC as a head coach. I think a black AD at UGA will be in tune with this and CMR is gone after next season, he's facing a disastrous year.

Damon Evans will have about as much to say about who they would hire as a new coach as I would. Adams runs the show, lock, stock and barrel. All the rest is merely window dressing.

As long as Michael Adams is the President of UGA there will never be another Dooley as Head Coach or AD at UGA.

You have a great new coach. He will act with integrity and be loyal to you. You need not worry about him chasing snowflakes.
