Richt probably won't last much longer so...

If Dooley wins big at UT, Georgia will be after him in a year or two with some big money when they push Richt out the door. Mark it down.

They might. I think they'll make other people their priority though. I don't think there's anyway GA keeps Coach Richt if they don't win the SEC East. The drum beats were growing pretty loud for his firing last year.

Vince is an Auburn grad---turned AU down on more than one occasion. Integrity runs in the family.

Kirby Smart will be the next GA coach----IMO
Dooley is here to stay.

This Bama fan fully agrees. Smart didn't take the Georgia DC job because he knew the head job would be opening up in a couple of years. If he were to be on the staff at that time, he wouldn't have a very good shot.

By staying at Bama, he got a raise today and the UGA head job tomorrow.

Little known fact about J-Gru: Owns property in the area and wife is a former UT cheerleader.

Just a matter of time before he's roamin' the sidelines on Rocky Top.

(I'm sure many people have commented on this but I don't feel like looking through all the pages)

This is stupid on many levels. Yeah, its a "little known fact" that everyone on volnation knows about his ties to Knoxville. Also, he's had his chances and I don't see Dooley leaving unless we let him go. Of course now that I think about it, I did see Gruden at the airport with Hamilton yesterday

Won't happen unless they get a new president. The current one is not exactly exchanging Christmas cards with the dooleys. Heck, Vince graduated from auburn and pat dye graduated from ga and. Cdd went to Virginia. The logic on all the speculation is all a little fuzzy to me.

A real concern is that UGA will come calling (on Dooley), maybe soon, unless Richt can pull some rabbits out of hats. One would like to believe that DD has more character than the LK clown, but he would surely listen, and he does have family ties there, not to mention excellent recruiting ground.

Wow!!! What an original thought, i haven't contemplated this even though its been posted a couple thousand times. It REALLY did deserve its own thread methinks. What do you say if we dont have success that will suck, and if we do have success he may leave us and that will suck, no matter what it will Suck...What do you say, lets just give up Athletics altogether!!!!

I think Dooley will have to prove himself as an SEC coach before Georgia would do that.
I still think USC jumped the gun too early on Kiffin.

But at Tennessee, its cool right? No need to "prove" anything before you land a SEC job?

I suppose this "factual" information was provided to you via twitter huh?

$ talks and EVERYONE listens.

Except for Muschamp, Steele, Smart, Smith, Stoops and the 632 other coaches we offered the HC position and the DC position to and got turned down. Al Davis will never let Gruden go anyway.

You'll note I never said "Gruden to Tennessee." That's someone elses dream.

Attention Newcomers.

The talk about Gruden, extolling his virtues....insisting that he is still the coach at Tampa, etc etc.....Is a big joke on here. Just letting you in on it for future reference.

:lolabove: Love it! I was wondering how long it was gonna take before someone finally let them in on it!!!

...but, but, but.... his wife was a cheerleader at UT and he owns land in Tennessee.

So, tell me again why Richt is getting fired?

Oh and If you think Gruden is leaving the Raiders you a crazy. They are one of the best teams in the NFL and just went to the super bowl.

Guys, Derek Dooley will be the coach at the University of Tennessee for a very long time.

Especially compared to that list prick.
