A real concern is that UGA will come calling (on Dooley), maybe soon, unless Richt can pull some rabbits out of hats. One would like to believe that DD has more character than the LK clown, but he would surely listen, and he does have family ties there, not to mention excellent recruiting ground.

Maybe we should wait until Dooley coaches a single game at UT.

I think Dooley will have to prove himself as an SEC coach before Georgia would do that.

I still think USC jumped the gun too early on Kiffin.

Probably not going to happen. First of all the President of UGA and Dooley's Daddy are not on the best of terms. Think enemies. Second of all, Dooley never went to UGA. He's a University of Virginia Grad. I've also heard that Dooley's buy out is pretty high.
I'm not worried.

I imagine that contractual hurdles have been put in place that would make such a move financially infeasible for UGA.

he did go to UGA for law school but your first reason pretty much ends any family angle people might claim

MR has at least two more years

I agree, they didn't have a great year last year, and didn't pull in the recruits they are used to, but most Georgia fans love Richt. He isn't gonna get let go by 1 or 2 average seasons. I mean, they went 8-5. That's not really that bad of a year.

Dooley aint going no where. He wants to establish his own legacy, not follow in his dads footsteps. Dooley is happy & humbled to be where he's at.

He said no twice, but maybe 3rd time's a charm?

Little known fact about J-Gru: Owns property in the area and wife is a former UT cheerleader.

Just a matter of time before he's roamin' the sidelines on Rocky Top.

I am not worried one bit about Jawja coming after Dooley.Coming out of high school he could have gone to Georgia for free. He went to Virgnia get away from Athens.

Now that recruiting season is over maybe we should fire CDD and go hard after Gruden.....jK

Why would he want that scrutiny? Hid dad is a legend there and he would be constantly compared to his father. First mistake and all the UGA fans would say "he ain't his daddy" or "his daddy would never have done that"....

Well, they were turned down by several different guys, too.
Jeff Fisher and Jack Del Rio come to mind, and I think there were a couple more.

But I agree about CDD having to prove himself.

I remember a day when 8-5 was a terrible year. My how times changed.

Maybe I'm missing something but why do some folks think DD wants to coach at GA? Just because his dad coached there? Because he went to law school there?
I know we're used to Fulmer but how many head coaches are coaching at their alma mater? I just think its goofy to think his dream job is HC at GA.
