Richt on the loss

Richt is pretty classy. You get the feeling it's not just speak...he's a straight shooter. I like him a lot more than I used to.

I'm also not sure what UT team Richt was watching when he said:

“It’s not that surprising to see Tennessee’s D-line handle our guys like that,” coach Mark Richt said Saturday.

Maybe someone slipped in a tape from 98?

yeah Richt is a classy coach, unlike the self-serving guy down @ Florida.

Richt is classy but Bulldog fans are as bad as Florida fans.
Heh! Have a friend who is a cop here in knoxville - has to walk the strip until bars close on gamedays - said GA fans were the worst of any school we play - FWIW.

I dont know if I would take it that far. Ive been to GA games and Fl. games and the folks at Fl. is just unreal. Ill still take my son to GA but never to Fl just because of the way the Fl. fans treat TN. fans.

Too true. They were by far the most obnoxious fans I've seen come through here. Now I KNOW we have our share, but I pray they don't act as bad when they go places. One of their idiots decided to taunt the students at gate 23 from the ramp when one of the students wound up and nailed him with a water bottle. Now I admit that was classless to do, but have common sense and don't taunt a bunch of drunk college kids standing in the hot sun.

Probably has something to do with Fulmer being 3-1 against him of late.

I'm surprised how many fire Mark Richt blogs are out there.

We keep hearing what a great coach he is relative to Fulmer but I just don't see it. Richt is good no doubt but I don't see why he gets such high marks from some on this board.

In response to why Richt talked about our D-line dominating their O-line: I live in Atl, and they had really talked about how weak their O-line was, as South Carolina really showed, and it really spot lights the weakness of Alabama's D-line. I would also say, that the D-line has done a decent job all year. Not spectacular but decent, needed the linebackers to do a better job of filling gaps, and tackling, and they did that yesterday.

You said it . . . Fulmer has now won 3 of 4 against Richt and completely owned him on Saturday from both a preparation and game coaching standpoint. Richt is a good coach, but I never understand why the myth persists that the Georgia coaching staff is filled with pure genius while we are afflicted with idiocy.

Say what you will about CPF, but he's never gone 13+ months without beating an SEC East opponent.

Richt is nothing special without the Davids (Greene and Pollack)

What COULD Richt say other than Tennessee kicked their butts?? No spin doctor could turn the loss into anything but what it was - total domination.

Florida fans are much worse than Ga fans. The worst fans in the SEC are definitely Florida and LSU, with bama coming in right behind those 2.
