Richmond Suspended for Opener

It seems to me that this kind of problem is on the rise in most programs across the country. Hate to hear it just the same.

Drug use? Sorry man, just comes down to who gets caught. I was in a Power 5 conference for 5 years, got tested once. Some teammates got tested 5 or 6 +. Coaches picked sometimes, NCAA is random. High percentage of athletes have something in there they don't want to get tested for.

Funny post is funny.

Maybe you scream, beech and cry like a little girl about National respect. Have you seen him "crying" about it?

He didn't say it was "acceptable" to lose, he said we could "afford" to lose it.

You know what he means, you're just being a jackleg.

:salute:
Fact if we lose to GT and then sweep SEC games (the rest of our OOC schedule this year is pure cupcake) we will be playoff bound. We lose the wrong SEC game especially late in the season hopes are dashed. Say we lose to FL or UGA and they only lose one other game in the SEC.. they go to the SECCG

Conference and especially Division games count a lot more. Just like a loss to Bama or LSU counts less than one against an SA loss to Vandy, UK or missouri is devastating because of when we play them each season.SEC east foe. Florida and UGA mean a lot because 1 they are strong tems and B big rivalries while a loss to say USCe is a lot less impacting than a loss against another SEC east foe. Because of when we play them and who they are.

Trust me, if it comes down to us say going 2 losses this season and one is GT and one is Bama and some other 1-2 loss team that GT loss looks better than any other loss on our schedule because of their offensive scheme. Vs any other 1-2 loss team for a playoff spot.

GT is the one loss we can absorb in the eyes of pundits and poll voters. Now would said loss cause a massive implosion/chain reaction in local media and fanbase. Yup.

Richmond is out only one game against a team with a not so stellar D if I am correct, we will be okay... Kirkland just sux, but we will figure that one out... Josh will be available if we need him and I bet Tuttle is ready to go by FL.... so really the only loss at this point that really hurts is Kirkland....

This will be tough sledding regardless who starts on our offensive line. Georgia Techs strength is at DE. They are solid there. However, their interior defensive line is suspect.

We can find success inside. If this happens we'll be able to slow down the edge rush, bring in the LB's, and open up the TE's and RB's out of the backfield. If we win this game, it will be because we wore out their defensive interior, and kept the LB's guessing. Our TE's, QD, and Kelly should have a great game. Kelly for sure. The kid is not easy to bring down inside. If QD's backside is protected it will be a long, long day for Georgia Tech. Hopefully, we find a way to stretch the field and Trey Smith holds up. This is a lot to put on a freshman but honestly Richmond has been a bust. We may be better off.

Our defense will eat these boys alive. Not worried at all. Colton Jumper will be fine for this game. The Kirkland loss will hurt us bad when we play a team that exposes his lack of athleticism. Trust me, Georgia Tech's not the team to do that.

I still stick to 38-17, Vols
If we were to lose this one, we are in for a looong season. Too much talent and the defense has a chip on their shoulder.

I'll just say you might be a bit surprised on that. Most of the defenses that have success against us tend to have an ultra-athletic MLB that is able to play further off the ball and has the speed/quickness to avoid blocks and chase plays down to the outside (Sean Spence at Miami a few years ago comes to mind here). If your MLB is lacking in athleticism, he's more likely to get cut on the second level by our OL or not even make it to the perimeter to catch the ABs. If our rocket toss is working (AB coming across in motion to catch a wide toss...basically it's our version of a bubble screen) and your MLB isn't quick enough to make it to the outside, it can be a long day.

I don't know but I'm curious how he can afford to stay in Sterchi Lofts?:ermm::whistling::question:

I'm also curious what he was suspended for. He was in the Kamara group who dined and dashed at the Mexican restaurant earlier in the year.

I never felt he lived up to the hype. I remember what a big deal they made when he took his visit to UT. If I remember correctly he got a standing ovation at the basketball game.

If they dont Harbaugh will/should be on the hotseat with all the hype he has gotten
This is year 4 for Harbaugh and OSU. No coach in Michigan history I've been told has gone 0-5 against the Buckeyes as they get canned at 0-4. His seat gets very hot if he has a couple of losses when Meyer and his folks roll into the Big House this year.
