Richmond Suspended for Opener

Losing your starting left tackle isn't a big deal? Since when? And with Hall done for the year, we're down to 2-3 legit SEC tackles in Kendrick, Tatum and .......?

Kb take a deep breath. I remember you and others screaming all season how bad he sucked. I'm surprised all the sudden you think it's a big loss for you.

Also, in case you guys forgot - this is a non-conference game. We can afford to lose this game. This is a tune up.

He was suspended for one game. Relax.

Everyone seems relaxed. Just don't pretend that this isn't a very negative thing and has great potential to affect Monday nights game. This game isn't a walk through by any stretch of homerism.

I would have suspended him against Indiana state like every other coach in america

Exactly, that's what the "winning" type of coaches ala Meyer, Bowden, an Saban woudv done hell Saban would NOT have suspended at all.........and good bobby Bowden always said...... Every player does NOT abide by the same rules..........the MORE special you are, the more rope you get.......ala Sabastian Janokowski, Deion Sanders

We really can't afford to lose this one IMO. This game will dictate how we play for the rest of the season IMO.

I used to think like that, but the bigger picture is getting to Atlanta and being relevant in the SEC. GT means nothing.

If GT means nothing, then why in the world are we risking injuries to starters by playing them? This game means a helluva lot more than just a number in the W/L column IMO

If we lose this game to GT, then it WILL be a long season w/ Florida and Georgia within the first 5 weeks

Delaying suspensions for the first game because it's a tough opponent shows 2 things:
1 - Winning is more imporant than maintaining discipline (bad look)
2 - You're scared of that first team (also a bad look)

We kicked our 1st team (preseason) All-ACC running back off the team 2 weeks before the game. You really want to be seen delaying a 1 game suspension when you have that obvious counterpoint to make you look bad?

SEC teams are mandated to have an OOC game against a power 5 school. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to whiff on the game and go into UF week 1-1, but my point is that it's not the end of the world. We can still win the east and play another game at this stadium when it's MUCH more meaningful in December.

This is a loser mentality IMO. Off the top of my head, losing to GT means:

1. Starting out the season 0-1
2. Losing to a mid-tier ACC team with an off-season to prepare for is not a good sign for when SEC games start.
3. National perception - This is the only game on Monday, and it's an exciting match up even if you are not a UT or GT fan. UT will continue to be the laughing stock of CFB after under-delivering last season if they come out of the gate losing to Georgia Tech who is what one year removed from a 3 win season?
4. Hot seat talk will be at an all time high. Team morale may suffer as a result.

There are no moral victories in losing this game.

Did I say it was the end of the world? You keep saying the game doesn't matter, my argument refutes that, it doesn't say the world will end.
