He really played a great game against Kentucky. Had 2 sacks and nice interception when Mayo jarred the ball lose. Willingham seemed to be the one the Cats attacked. He played way to far off their WR's and never looked for the ball on deep passes. Will Kemp see more PT after todays performance?

Doubtful, I mean today was an awesome performance, but Willingham is just more athletic, who knows though. It is hard to argue with 2 sacks and a big int.

I'd play Kemp. Willingham is more talented but it's unacceptable to be giving a receiver a 10 yard cushion when they only need 5 yards to score. :ermm:

Yeah, he was all over the place. Great game for him, I hope he keeps it up.

Got to give props to Mayo again for that bone-crushing hit.

He and McKenzie both played well blitzing off the edge...I wish we had done that more often this year because it got pressure on Woodson and we could have used more of that this year...I think we'll see more of that against LSWho to try and throw off Flynn

yeah, I don't know why we waited so late in the season to get aggressive.

Did you hear in the game when the announcer called Fulmer "the gambler"? I hope he meant it sarcastically.

Kemp seemed so effective is because they blitzed him every freakin' play in the same spot off their right tackle. I swear he must have blitzed atleast 20 times from his corner spot... but I'll still take the sacks. :good!:

Kemp played awesome, but what was the deal on his INT when he returned it he just fell on the ground on his own? It looked like he could have run for at least another 10 yds or more.

He just wanted to get down to protect the ball and prevent fumbling it. I was happy he did it at the time... but it was disgusting when we dropped a 3rd down pass that would have sealed the game.

I don't fault him since a TO was huge at that point and he wanted to secure it. We should have been able to run some clock and end it but...

Willingham sucks , he is terrible in the red zone D he plays so soft he literrally gives himself NO CHANCE against fads

Yeah, I understand that, but our offense had not been too effective in the second half. I was hoping he would try to make a play. I guess some guys don't have the confidence like a Berry has to score very time they touch the ball. I just think he panicked a little, but in the end it worked out.

Mind you he forced not 1 but 2 fumbles against USC...he's a physical corner that hits hard but isnt as gifted at covering...I wouldnt go as far as saying he's terrible

Very fortunate to win this game with all the key drops. These WRs have a chance Sat. vs LSU to make up for it and catch everthing thrown their way. I think they will play well. Can't get much worse.

Terrible is way too strong of a word for Willingham. He has had some bad coverages. But, he has also been unfortunate enough to be the man covering some WR's that made great plays. He has played very good defense on a couple of TD's he has given up. The WR's just made some great catches. Turning it around, would you say the CB covering Gerald Jones played bad coverage? Nope, it was just a great catch.

The good thing is, if Vinson can't play Tennessee does have a good back-up in Kemp. I agree though, I'd like to see Kemp opposite Vinson at CB instead of Willingham for now. I'd put Willingham as the 5th DB and bench Karl.

The starting QB and 2nd CB always seem to get the most heat at Tennessee. I remember Vol fans complaining about Jonathan Wade at one time.
