Is he going to be a significant contributor in the DS next year. I know last year they were saying he is going to be something. And with Fellows being kicked off the team, we need some guys to really step up. What is ya'lls opinions?

We'll have to let it play out. Right now we have a couple of 5ft. 9in. smurfs playing on the corners. I'll bet Monk at Ark. is licking his chops.

Our secondary hasnt really had a hard hitting safety since 2004 (Jason Allen), and Id bet money McKenzie is the next one so I dont think our DB's will do too bad...

Oh dont get me wrong, Hef can definately bring it, but in terms of size. Hef is only 5'8 175 lbs...Mckenzie is like 6'2" 200...

I really believe now, that our secondary will consist of:
I do not like our experience at all but, if we can coach em up and get them in the defense, they have the potential to start. This is how is see things unfolding:
SS: Hefney
FS: Nevin McKenzie
CB: Eric Berry or Art Evans
CB: Willingham or Wardlow

Kemp will probably see more time now than was originally anticipated......how much? debatable at this point.

He'll be the dime back. Willingham, Berry and Johnson are all in front of him

Willingham and Berry are not on campus, therefore they are not ahead of Kemp at this point. I think Kemp will see more playing time than many of you think. He did very well last season considering he was moved to CB late in an emergency situation. He has the physical tools to be a very good CB. I think he will come in on our nickel and dime packages for sure. He will win a starting CB spot or push into the rotation behind whoever wins the starting job.

don't disagree.......but the depth situaiton dicates that Berry will see more time than what was probably originally anicipated.

He will be one of our 4 most talented CB's next season: Johnson, Berry, Willingham, and Kemp.

Wardlow is a safety. Evans might end up at CB but that has not even been decided for sure yet. He could play safety.
