If it's a 17 point spread, bet the farm, the farm animals, the wife, and the kids on UF.

This is going to be a massacre.

At least collecting some money on Monday will make it bearable.

I'm right there with you IF JC play's like he did against WKU but there's no way thats gonna happen IMO, and our D have's to get pumped up and play like they did against WKU!

WKU---High School UF--National Champ.

This has a PROFOUND effect on Teams' performance.

A person on the staff for Florida was quoted saying he has never seen a team more fired up to play than Florida this week, & that includes the week before they played Georgia last year. To me thats scary for our football team. Our offense wont be able to move the ball against Florida, & Meyer is going to score as many points as he can. I say 56-6 Florida.

You may be on the low side. Turban Meyer will score as many points as possible. Its gonna be real ugly!

My ole my looking over the posts on here today is very eye opening. Fans who thought after the WKU game talking out of their arse on a 10 win season now are predicting gloom. The Fulmerites coming out with the I told you so crap. Guys there are numerous positions we are better at this year then last but the most important position on offense is QB and we simply don't have one. Didn't have one last year and won't have one until next year at the earliest.

I remember when Majors took over the program and we got here we had zero talent to speak of. The first 4 yrs were brutal:
1977 Tennessee 4-7 1-5 8th
1978 Tennessee 5-5-1 3–3 T-4th
1979 Tennessee 7-5 3-3 T-5th L Bluebonnet
1980 Tennessee 5-6 3-3 6th

I do not forsee this staff taking that long to get back us back towards the top.

JUst as long as it takes to get decent QB play.

So much for my tread about Kiffins' plans to beat Fla. Vols are in for a butt-kickin. Obviously Crompton's 5 TD's LW was a mirage----Under no pressure from WKU. This week I will go fishing, can't bear to watch the Vols get stomped. Lay the points.

I am a diehard fan of 35 years, so don't start with the bs.

Good for You!...You go get your beer and your fishing rod and you just have one hell of a time out there with nature and while your doing that I'll get my BBQ ready and throw on some steaks and ribs and get some drinks ready, Throw on my UT jersey and get ready for an exciting day of college football action...See the biggest difference is I am a REAL fan and do not run from possible ass kickings like some people and have earned the right to celebrate when they win so you go on out there on the lake or pond or whatever your going and enjoy yourself....Us real fans will tell you how the game turned out when you decide to come back. :salute:

please forgive us if we don't take your betting advice (although it will only cost $200)

Was at 7' (that's 7 and a hook ---means a half point) across the board this AM. Opened at 10---went to 7'--now going back up. Line move has been volatile in this game-----lot of action on UCLA----then on UT.
I posted Tenn as a best bet on a wagering site----I feel Vols win by 14-21. 38-20 sounds about right. Kiff will have em ready to explode for this very important game, and UCLA is starting a frosh QB----Monte---and the 107k will be tough for this kid to handle. Pay some bills, boys.

i dont understand why florida plays such little non conference teams, i think if crompton plays like he did against wku we might have a chance because our d is tremendous most of the time

Ummm, did it not occur to you that Crompton played well against WKU because they absolutely suck? Some of us posters could have thrown TDs against that defense.

If my team played a full SEC schedule along with UGA at a neutral site and Florida State at the end of every year, I'd want us to be trying to schedule a team from a nursing home as my other out of conference game.

What would make me happy during the Florida game?

Our D knocks a couple of Tebow's teeth out.

Other than that, its whatever.

Well, I don't like seeing any players ever seriously injured but if Meyer keeps Tebow in late in the 4th quarter and they are up by a ridiculous margin...don't be surprised if some or several UT players take some cheap shots at Tebow or another player. Unfortunately it will be done out of complete frustration.

If Meyer keeps him any of his starters in late after running up the score, he'll be taking chances.

Well, you say 56-6 Florida. I say if you or anybody, I repeat anybody, would like to wager $100, I'll take every bet offered. If you truly believe Florida wins by 50, let me know. We'll place the money with a neutral person on this site and see what happens. Option 2: I'll wager $1000 with you alone on your 50 point spread. I'm as serious as can be, and I urge everyone on this site to be. Will Florida handle us easily? Most likely, but let's not be ridiculous.

Can Tennessee keep it closer than the 28? Or does UF roll the Vols by 40? If Crompton continues the funk, given Kiffin's offseason verbage, does Meyer pour it on?
If you had to bet the house, who do you take? :ermm:

i would have to go against my heart and say florida. I do not think they will stop trying to score for anything if given the chance. Hopefully Monte wil have a surprise or two.

I dont think I would bet the house on FL winning by more than 28.. Im gonna say 31-7 if we have 2 or more turnovers if we have 0 turnovers I wouldn't be suprised if TN kept this within 7-10 points

I think Florida will win, but I believe Monte will be able to contain their high-power offense more than most folks think.

No brainer here. Take UF and give the points. With the poor offensive play, expect the Vols D to be on the field most of the day. We keep it close the first quarter, maybe even into the 2nd quarter, but after that, the D gets tired. UF wants to put a beat down on us becasue we "dare" question their beloved coach. They have been waiting for this day since February. So, I say pour it on while you can Gators.
