He isn't very happy about having to wear a red jersey this spring (no contact). He said the jerseys are what the scout team wears during Bama week. :)

Also, Gerald Jones comment when asked how these coaches win him over:

Just be their selves, you know? Actually be here for us and try to get us better. That's all i really care about, you know? I've had so many coaches, I'm not really looking forward to relationships outside of football. I just want them to coach the hell out of me and I'm going to play the best I can and do everything I can for them.

dont wanna risk reveiz getting hurt again in spring,getting him fresh for fall practice.

I love Nick's attitude but I am sure he understands the importants of wearing the red jersey at this time. He get his chance to bring the wood on some folks later this year.

Freak does that mean he feels the coaches are kind of being fake and trying to force a relationship or does he feel as though they are doing it right?

I know that he is a big tradition guy, is he upset because of no contact or is he upset that the tradition of red jerseys are for the bama week?? I only ask because there was a interview with him that said he didn't like how kiffin did follow tradition and hopes that Dooley does

he's upset about not being able to hit but the red jersey thing is a bit of a joke. Not only can't he hit anyone but he is forced to wear bama colors while doing it.

you guys are reading way too much into stuff

I don't think it really has anything to do with the coaches. I think Gerald is simply protecting himself from getting let down again like he has the past two years.

I took it as in the previous staff wasn't themselves and gave them speeches and hoopla. We all know the outcome.

Nick is the man. That is all there is to it. Gerald Jones and his fellow upperclassmen better be turning and burning because there is a trio of freshman WR's that want some playing time. (DaRick Rogers, Matt Milton, and Justin Hunter for the many of you that didn't know ;)). and don't forget Ted Meline if he doesn't get moved to D.

CDD is smart and has seen all the tape of Nick and does NOT want him hurt again and we all know that Nick wants to smack somebody and be feeling good much faster than is really good for him.

I agree with CDD too....Do NOT let Nick get hurt or push himself too fast.

I want Nick ON the field by the Oregon game if at all possible !

GO BIG ORANGE !!!

It was just a joke on his part. Not only can't he hit anybody, he's got to wear Alabama's colors. If you were a second-generation Vol, would YOU like having to wear Alabama red?
