Spoiler alert: It wasn't the helmets vs USC East that led to defeat in 2022. The Vols got outplayed in Columbia.

Spoiler alert, part 2: It won't be the helmets vs Vanderbilt this season. The Vols have the opportunity to control the narrative. Show up in Nashville fired up and ready to play. GBO!!
That Michigan guy helped USCjr win

Heard rumblings of the return of the orange helmet against Vandy.... Makes me nervous as hell given what happened the last time we wore them. Would love to cast out the USCe demons of the helmet but not sure this is the game to do it!

This would be a nice week for the orange helmets to make an appearance.

Exactly! An inanimate object has no bearing on the outcome of a game…

Much like the stormtrooper helmets these are cursed too.

Go back to the classic and kick their ass. 🤷‍♂️

We also got cheated. South Carolina had all of our signs thanks to Connor Stallions.

Plain Jane for this one, white helmet, white jersey, white pants all with orange strip. Nothing special.
The same uniform we got beat in Athens, right? Funny how no one criticizes the storm troopers when we get beat in them. Bring back the orange helmets.

Organizations wear uniforms for recognition and for simplicity (so they can focus on what’s important). If they constantly mix it up and accessorize, it’s not a uniform - its a fashion statement. I prefer uniforms.

1) I don’t understand why people always want to see different (inferior) uniforms.

2) while the helmets did not cause the L, the sight of them and their association with that game should make you sick.

Glad we’re not wearing them Saturday. Maybe next season. I did have a dream where they were wearing the orange helmets with orange shirts and white pants, and it looked pretty sweet.

If he was really a manager he'd know that, while they do still have all of the orange helmets from 2022 in house, they have not ordered any new ones since then. That means that many players would have to wear a different brand or style from what they normally wear, including Nico with his new post-concussion helmet. It's not happening.

With all of the extra expenses coming from revenue sharing, the days of three or four sets of helmets are probably in the past. Uniforms and gear are free from Nike. They pay full price for helmets and pads.
Nico is wearing Hookers helmet since the concussion. The same model anyway.

But, but, but...his brother has a friend on the team who is a manager! Something must have changed last second!lol I hate the internet.
Can't help getting information that is, at least, coming from someone inside the building. Not to just get on here to spout BS and post knowingly false information. I admitted to not knowing the legitimacy of it because I do not work there. Maybe it just ended up being a guess that was espoused to a friend group. Who knows.

The white helmet with the orange T is an iconic brand recognized around the world 1 or 2 variances from that is enough. Do not dilute the brand.
You have already diluted the brand on Halloween 2009 when you brought in black uniforms. We are a cheap brand now and we have to resort to gimmicks to remain relevant. Get over it.

Where were you when we wore the burnt gray helmets? Or the black helmets?
