I think that’s the same crew that so badly messed up the Miss St - Memphis game. Literally decided the outcome of that game by calls made in the 4th quarter. That officiating crew is well documented for blowing calls that resulted in games being decided improperly. The SEC actually made a public statement about this crew screwing up. There is a real nice article about this on OutKick.
When Does The SEC Finally Admit They Have An Officiating Problem?
We went up against some really good quarterbacks. The Pitt QB was outstanding, Corral from Ole Miss, The Heisman winner. Georgia's QB wasn't in that league, but still good. Linebacking was an issue, but given how close the games were against Pitt, and Ole Miss, I think we did alright with what we had.We still needed linebackers who can stop the quarterback running but yeah I think we would've been hella close to a 10 w season.

We go to Pitt next year and their QB won't be there. (He's already opted out of their bowl game). I think they lost a lot of seniors also, so that game might be a W for us.
Say we ended up with a top 15 recruiting class. This staff appears to be able to evaluate and develop plays and do more with less. That could translate into a top 10 class. I wouldn't swap places with Florida about now.
Is there a single post in this thread, including the OP's, which has anything to do with Rethinking Heupel & Company? Am I missing the connection with the thread title?
Gee, there always has to be one ... in every thread, right??And here I was just thinking about rethinking that Heupel & Company are doing a great friggin' job for Vol Nation! GBO!
Absolutely decided the game.
Anybody else, that would have been a TD
Thanks for aggravating me again on the strip fumble! That officiating crew is well documented for blowing calls that resulted in games being decided improperly. The SEC actually made a public statement about this crew screwing up. There is a real nice article about this on OutKick.

Yes, we were inches from 9-3 and Pitt and Ole Miss were very winnable. CJH wasn’t perfect this year and made some questionable play calls and some clock management errors but overall I am happy that he is our coach and think we will only get better. How can you NOT like the guy?
