Rethinking Heupel & Company

That officiating crew is well documented for blowing calls that resulted in games being decided improperly. The SEC actually made a public statement about this crew screwing up. There is a real nice article about this on OutKick.

When Does The SEC Finally Admit They Have An Officiating Problem?
I think that’s the same crew that so badly messed up the Miss St - Memphis game. Literally decided the outcome of that game by calls made in the 4th quarter.

We need LBs, SEC Caliber LBs, We need several as our offense keeps our D on the field a lot, we have to be able to go 2-3 deep at every LB spot.
And be able to contain the opposing qb from gaining 15yds plus on long 3rd downs

let's not forget the Pitt game with the missed field goal the return for a touchdown by Tennessee with two penalties on the change of possession and they reward the ball back to Pitt to Punt plus the sport near the 5 yard line late in the game where the ref on the near side of the play was not watching and the ref from the far side made the call of short of gain. Bad refs in all confrences

We still needed linebackers who can stop the quarterback running but yeah I think we would've been hella close to a 10 w season.
We went up against some really good quarterbacks. The Pitt QB was outstanding, Corral from Ole Miss, The Heisman winner. Georgia's QB wasn't in that league, but still good. Linebacking was an issue, but given how close the games were against Pitt, and Ole Miss, I think we did alright with what we had.

We go to Pitt next year and their QB won't be there. (He's already opted out of their bowl game). I think they lost a lot of seniors also, so that game might be a W for us.

Say we ended up with a top 15 recruiting class. This staff appears to be able to evaluate and develop players and do more with less. That could translate into a top 10 class. I wouldn't swap places with Florida about now.

Debate the 4th down spot, but that strip sack TD was an obvious and egregious call. So bad. Still had a chance with a competent QB late.

Banks was good, but when Mitchell went down and Beasley had to play... yikes. That guy got carried 5-7 yards or was rolled over by QB's especially in the second half of games. He didn't stand a chance against RB's. By the last half of the season I started to feel sorry for the guy.

Is there a single post in this thread, including the OP's, which has anything to do with Rethinking Heupel & Company? Am I missing the connection with the thread title?

Well, I know I'm kinda out of the loop for anything that's been on TV, in social media, or in conversations. So I'm always most ignorant about the things most people already know.

I need to develop a foreign accent so maybe people will give me a pass for some my ignorance. Polly view comprenday?

Absolutely decided the game.

Anybody else, that would have been a TD

Had no bearing on the outcome of the game at all. They punted and we scored a TD on our next drive so the score was the same as it would have been.

If we get that call we kick off and the score is 9-7, the same as it was after they punted and we scored.

Yes, we were inches from 9-3 and Pitt and Ole Miss were very winnable. CJH wasn’t perfect this year and made some questionable play calls and some clock management errors but overall I am happy that he is our coach and think we will only get better. How can you NOT like the guy?

Hey, who are you calling "you?"
