Todd Snider. I wasn't as aware of him as I could've been until COVID when he offered up free weekly online shows live streamed from his home and the Purple House. He was a huge presence in the East Nashville scene. I had not thought about him too much recently until local news reported on him being assaulted a couple of weeks ago and then cancelling his tour. RIP

Oh man, this one hurts.

I saw him a lot when I still lived in Memphis in the early 90s, and sporadically since. His first album, Songs From the Daily Planet was named after a bar I used to see him perform.

Last time I saw him was at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in Golden Gate Park.

Great story teller and very funny.
