Showed up to work this am expecting the usual Bammer we played terrible blah, blah, blah. The first Bama co-worker says I was at the game Saturday and just wanted to tell you this.'Tennessee is a team full of baby face killers.I really am not looking forward to playing Tennessee the next few years.Nothing about them playing bad or being tired. He said he couldn't believe how good we played and how really young we are.Respect is earned and although we have lost some games this year.We are gaining some thing more important than wins or loses. We are getting our respect as a program back.Proud of this team of young men.

I'm sick of hearing this kind of stuff from bama fans. Whenever they give those "chin up little man" speeches I want to kick them in the mouth.

Anyone who can't see consistent improvement over the last 3 years doesn't know anything about football.

Vandy-esque

Except, it's really not in this case. I travel all over the southeast, and outside the East/Middle TN footprint, the prevailing attitude is that Tennessee is going to be no fun to have on your schedule anymore. That's not a moral victory or a pat on the back. That's people noticing what's going on and making an observation.

We should be 7-0, 6-1, at worst, this year.

The building of a program from the depths of the Dooley days to should have beat Alabama, Florida, OK, is improvement. We need to run the table, and go into the off season with a full head of steam and be a championship contender next year.

Relentless pursuit of consistent improvement.....Yippie.....

It's not half as annoying as people pouncing on every one of these threads to tell us how miserable to be. We all know that winning is what matters. That doesn't mean we have to cast aside everything we see.

Something more valuable than wins? Maybe I've misunderstood the reason for playing sports. If they only gave a trophy for respect at the end of the season I guess that would be neat.

3 of the 4 teams that have beaten us are contenders for the playoffs. Not locks, but contenders. We had leads on all 3 late in the game. All 3 escaped with a win, and they know it.

Coach really started from ground zero and the least talent on the team in the history of Tennessee football plus, we are now finally getting the depth and talent to compete week in and week out this team is on the rise and any football fan that has a IQ for football can see it, as of this past Saturday the sour taste of defeat we got a taste of will not be there for a long time this team won't lose another game this year and going in to the 16 season we will be a top 10 team when it's all said and done, a lot on here will say heard that this year no the real VOL FAN'S with football IQ knew the 16 team would be the one that will win 10 game's in the regular season, by losing the 4 game's the way we did the team the coaching staff will learn how to win so the future of TENNESSEE FOOTBALL is trending on the way of competing for SEC Championship's in defeat Saturday the team showed that we Tennessee is ready to take the next step and become a college football power for year's to come, i know this team is 3 and 4 but this team will go on a run and we won't taste defeat for a long time, this team keep's getting player's hurt and the old saying next man up is doing his job we are building depth across the board and our OL will be very good in 16 and the DL will dominate this team is going to be special.

Exactly. I hear the same thing in my travels.

Careful... keeping using logic like that and you'll get accused of proclaiming a moral victory.

That's what people who don't know what the hell they're talking about do.

Exactly. I see a pattern, albeit, a different pattern than most here are pointing out.

I almost won the lottery once.

Almost.

I'm with you on that part. Respect will rapidly disappear without wins. I'd a whole lot rather be in Florida's position with little respect, but 6-1 with people saying "but Y'all aren't that good".

Yelling scoreboard is always easy and mostly correct. I just don't need somebody acting like they're telling me something new and philosophical. I know we have to win. I know moral victories don't count. That doesn't mean I ignore the obvious that happens within the game.
