One thing about Volnation that is a constant. Almost all of the negative posters are also the most immature. Either they are trolls or people that are defeatist. A false sense of self is evident from these type of posters. They have the answer for everything but have accomplished nothing. So easy to constantly hide behind a keyboard and criticize. The only recognition they will achieve.

Here is how to visualize the improvement on a continuum, going back to 2009. These are the score differentials of the games played. There is a significant upwards trend with 2015 being potentially the first time since 2009 that UT can end up with a winning SEC record.

View attachment 102794

Or, if you're one of those that says wins and losses are all that matter, well...here is a chart showing UT's SEC wins. **IF** UT win's out, it will only be the 6th time since 2002 that UT has won 5 or more SEC games.

View attachment 102795

If you look at those charts and don't see significant improvement and a trend line going in the right direction for the first time since the early 2000's, then you are either being willfully obtuse, or are claiming the purest of ignorance of how bad things have actually been. Neither position deserves any sort of merit or consideration.

Don't come in here showing off your fancy learning and uppity charts. The gloom ones would moan at a free $10 giveaway if they were given two 5's.

We saw many back off their doom and gloom last week after KY by saying we never wanted him fired; we just wanted improvement. Yesterday, there were too many offering to help him pack.

They are simply too stubborn to admit progress because it requires them to say they were premature with their drivel.

They have set the mark so high for any coach, it is simply not reachable halfway through year 3 of a total rebuild.

This thread cracks me up. Good logic and stats. That is why you don't see the negavols in here. The go purely off of emotion.

Finally, a negavol free thread. Thank you OP

You do have a negavol in here. You have a guy bashing "negavols" in this thread, but he is *****ing in the "checker N. TX" thread because the crowd didn't look orange enough on tv. He is complaining about the people that go to a game in regards to how they look when he sits on his fat ass in his living room. That is what negavols do. They find something to complain about even after a SEC win. Nevermind that thousands of fans dressed in the colors of the many Tennessee youth football teams who were recognized on field during the pre-game. I guess he didn't see that while he was eating cheetos on his beanbag chair in his mom's basement, but, you know, negas gonna nega.

My bad, I'm no Negavol, I consider it an insult and slander to my Vol pride. I did notice the stadium did not look like a sea of orange and suggested for fans that don't have a Vol coat( I don't have one, Christmas is close)to go to walmart and get an orange sweat shirt to wear, when I was told that, it cost too much I suggested to get a big T- shirt to wear over your coat, then I was told that walmart stuff sucks, so I suggested Kmart or target.

I stand by the crowd was not a sea of orange as far as my TV showed. And yes I had to watch the game on TV as I was unable to attend the game, due to scheduling conflicts and my wife, thinks I've been to too many games already( she says she gets it, but she doesn't).

And as for the pregame I knew nothing of it, so that's cool for them to wear and show their colors.

And the bean bag chair is my daughter's, I have sat in it in the past, but just to bug her.

I was out of Cheetos, so that was wrong.

I could lose a few pounds, that was just mean.

I expect an apology, forth with.

Go Vols!

For all the negavols out there who aren't happy with the progression of the team, i would like to direct you to the below stats. I personally think it's obvious that this team is much improved from previous years. Keep in mind that our easiest games are ahead of us and the 2015 stats will only improve.

Team Stats 2013:
Passing yards - 113th (164.9/gm)
Rushing yards - 53rd (188.4/gm)
Points for - 106th (23.8/gm)
Points against - 69th (24.2)

Team Stats 2014:
Passing yards - 65th (224.2/gm)
Rushing yards - 83rd (146.4/gm)
Points for - 83rd (28.9/gm)
Points against - 69th (24.2)

Team Stats 2015 (through 9 games)
Passing yards - 77th (215/gm)
Rushing yards - 29th (207.3/gm)
Points for - 31st (35/gm)
Points against - 49th (24.2)

Year 3 improvements:
Passing yards: +50.1/gm
Rushing yards: +18.9/gm
Points for: +11.2/gm
Points against: push

Go Vols and sit down naysayers.

Florida is going to the SEC Championship game. Anyone who says they were in better shape this year than UT in 2013 is full of sh#t.

Stats? Fact
How many blown leads? Opinion

Facts are provable; opinions are not provable.

No, pumpkin. I think you're mistaken about words.

HOW MANY means a number. Having a lead and then losing said lead isn't an opinion. It's a fact.

I'll try to break it down slowly for you.

How many times was UT leading and then all of a sudden UT NOT leading? There is an actual numeric answer for that.

That's not my opinion that leads were blown. My opinion is HOW the leads were blown. Not that they were.

On board yet?

As long as the sunshine pumpers will concede a loss is a loss, I will concede a win is a win.

And if you can take positives from a loss, you can also take negatives from a win.

That is a whole lot to summarize from an opinion that differs from your own! Does that make you the opposite of all those things? You have a true sense of self, optimist, mature and successful! Wow

Pumpkin? Please tell me you are a chick!

It is a fact that it is your opinion that leads were "blown". Losing a lead does not necessarily equate to a blown lead.

I'll break it down for you slowly: Your high opinion of your drivel is in fact just an opinion that not everyone shares; therefore, it is an opinion. Facts can not be disputed.
